Hello, this is Game Sky.
Today, I’m back with another MapleLand quest guide. Last time, I covered the Traces of the Rumor quest. This time, we’ll be taking on Stumpy directly. Anyway, today’s guide is for the MapleLand quest Investigating the Stumps and the Monster Tree Stumpy.
Then let’s get started.

Investigating the Stumps |

Previously, Winston said you’d been a big help, and that the tree was clearly Stumpy. According to him, the Stumps have been put in danger because of Stumpy.

Still, he says it’s only a hypothesis for now, so to prove it for certain, he needs a very dry branch.

He then asks you to observe the Stumps and collect 100 branches. He also mentions that Dark Axe Stump drops them more often than regular Stump.

Anyway, I headed to East Rocky Mountain V to hunt Dark Axe Stump. Just farm them there until you’ve collected enough branches.

Anyway, all you need to do here is hunt them and gather the branches. They look a lot like ordinary branches, but since they drop directly from Dark Axe Stump, it’s not too hard to tell them apart.

Once you bring back 100 branches, Winston realizes the situation is far more serious than he expected.

Winston says that after taking a close look at the branches, he became convinced that his hypothesis was correct. He explains that this could lead to a much worse outcome than he originally thought.

When the player doesn’t understand what he means, he explains that Stumpy wasn’t just absorbing nutrients from the Stumps, but from Perion itself. In other words, the Stumps weren’t drying out because their nutrients were being stolen. They were drying out because there were no nutrients left for them to absorb.

He says that if this keeps up, Perion will become a dead land where no life can survive. So he asks the player for help.

Stumpy is just that dangerous. It has tenacious vitality and threatens most living things. In the end, Winston says that getting rid of Stumpy is the only way to save Perion.

Stumpy Spawn Maps |
|---|

Stumpy appears in East Rocky Mountain V, VI, and VII. It takes quite a while for it to spawn, though. In my case, it showed up after about 1 to 2 hours of waiting.

Stumpy’s level is 20. Compared to my level 75 character, it was a pretty weak opponent. Anyway, once you defeat Stumpy, the quest is basically near its end.

Rewards |
|---|

Anyway, once you return to Winston, you’ll get your reward: 43,500 EXP and 5 Fame.

But Winston still looks pretty uneasy. Why is he so worried? Anyway, that wraps up the quest.

Today, I went over the MapleLand quests Investigating the Stumps and Monster Tree Stumpy. If you’re around level 20 to 30, this should be a fairly manageable quest.
That’s all from Game Sky. Thanks for reading!
