Do you all know the word “terrarium”?

A terrarium is a tiny ecosystem created by arranging plants and various objects inside a glass container.

There’s something really charming about being able to grow a little world of your own.

This time, I started imagining how MapleStory’s uniquely memorable regions

might look if they were turned into terrariums.

These aren’t real merch, but I used Gemini AI to turn those imagined landscapes into images.

Let me show you them one by one! 😎

1. Ellinia

The very first place that came to mind was Ellinia, the village of fairies.

I placed the iconic Magic Library in the center,

with mysterious tree trunks stretching outward all around it.

The clear, glassy feel of the jar blends beautifully with Ellinia’s lush green forest, making the whole thing feel even more mystical!

There are hidden Slimes in there too (they got a little squished, though)

2. Orbis

I captured Orbis, the city floating in the sky!

Soft, fluffy clouds fill the base, with elegant old-fashioned buildings floating above them.

Thanks to the clear sky-blue palette, it feels oddly refreshing just to look at.

It brought back that old sense of excitement

from the first time I arrived in Orbis by ship from Victoria Island.

I think it really captures the beauty of arriving in a breathtaking new continent ㅎㅎ

3. Lachelein

This is Lachelein, with its dreamy purple nightscape.

I tried condensing the dazzling festival atmosphere around Lucid’s clock tower into one small glass bottle.

Thanks to its distinctive color palette, if this were real,

I honestly think it would make such a pretty decor piece!

4. Aquarium

This is Aquarium, the hidden city deep beneath the sea!

I think this might be the region that fits the terrarium concept best.

Inside the transparent container, I arranged a vivid underwater scene with blue ocean tones and colorful coral reefs.

It feels like a refreshing little piece of the sea was lifted out and placed right inside :D

5. Ludibrium

This is Ludibrium, filled with adorable little toys.

Isn’t it cute how the colorful blocks and castle are packed so tightly into such a small space?

Seeing Eos Tower standing tall in the center, especially,

reminded me of the Eos Tower you can see these days at Lotte World Maple Island.

It even gave me that same fun, theme-park-like feeling of looking around Lotte World!

Which region would you want to put inside a terrarium?

MapleStory has so many charming maps,

that if terrariums ever came out as official merch, I feel like they’d be seriously popular!
