Have you heard of a terrarium?

A terrarium is a miniature ecosystem made by arranging plants and other objects inside a glass container.

There's something so appealing about tending to a little world of your own.

This time, I imagined what MapleStory's distinctive regions

might look like as terrariums.

These aren't real merchandise—I used Gemini AI to turn the landscapes I imagined into images.

Let's take a look at each one! 😎

1. Ellinia

The first place that came to mind was Ellinia, the village of fairies.

I placed its landmark, the Magic Library, at the center,

with mystical tree trunks branching out around it.

The clear glass jar and Ellinia's lush green forest come together to create an even more enchanting atmosphere!

There are some Slimes hiding in there, too (though they're a little squished)

2. Orbis

Here, I've captured Orbis, the city floating in the sky!

Fluffy clouds fill the base, with elegant, old-fashioned buildings floating above them.

Just looking at those clear sky-blue tones feels like a breath of fresh air.

It brings back the excitement I felt long ago when I took a ship from Victoria Island

and arrived in Orbis for the first time.

I think this little world really captures the wonderful scenery I encountered on that new continent ㅎㅎ

3. Lachelein

Next is Lachelein, with its enchanting, dreamlike purple nights.

With Lucid's Clocktower at the center, I set out to capture its dazzling festival atmosphere in a small glass jar.

With those distinctive colors, if this were a real item,

I think it would make a beautiful decorative piece!

4. Aquarium

This is Aquarium, the city hidden deep beneath the sea!

This might just be the region best suited to a terrarium.

I arranged a blue underwater landscape and colorful coral reefs inside a clear container.

It feels wonderfully refreshing, as though a little piece of the ocean had been lifted straight into the jar :D

5. Ludibrium

Here is Ludibrium, filled with charming little toys.

Don't the colorful blocks and castle look adorable packed into this tiny space?

The Eos Tower soaring above the center, in particular,

reminds me of the Eos Tower you can now see at Lotte World's Maple Island.

It even felt a little like the fun of exploring Lotte World!

Which region would you like to capture in a terrarium?

MapleStory has so many charming maps,

so I think terrariums would be quite a hit as official merchandise!
