To celebrate Arbor Day on April 5,

let’s take a little time to enjoy Erinn’s natural scenery!

When there are so many missions to keep us busy,

it’s easy to pass right by Erinn’s beautiful scenery without even noticing.

Every now and then, let’s slow down, take in the views, and give ourselves a chance to recharge~

A Picnic Beneath the Giant Cherry Tree on 엘니드 섬

First on the list of places to visit right now is 엘니드 섬!

It’s the very island where Tieve and Keaghan from Colhen went for a picnic~

At the heart of the island stands a cherry tree so enormous it barely fits in a photo🌸

More beautiful cherry trees and trees in all sorts of colors grow around it.

The Mabinogi Mobile 1st anniversary party is taking place here, too,

so you’ll find lovely decorated spots all around the island.

You probably stop by once or twice a day to collect coins for the 1st anniversary event,

but with all that rushing in to grab coins and head off again, you may not have had a chance to really take in the scenery.

Before the boats to 엘니드 섬 stop running, snap a photo beneath the cherry tree to remember your visit

and soak up all that natural beauty to your heart’s content🥰💕

Gazing Up at the Giant Maple in the Goddess’s Courtyard

You may visit the Goddess’s Courtyard often to mine copper ore, but have you ever taken a good look around?

The giant maple tree and waterfall make such a beautiful sight together.

That towering maple

is every bit as majestic as the cherry tree on 엘니드 섬!

The only little downside is that the maple stands quite high up,

and with no path leading up to it, we have to admire it from a distance.

Then again, perhaps being admired only from afar

is what’s allowed it to live so long and grow so tall.

Even if we can’t get close to it,

a maple that’s grown so tall in a place called the Goddess’s Courtyard feels rather special,

so wouldn’t it be lovely to hold an event here~

How about an autumn foliage festival here instead of on 엘니드 섬?

We could admire the red leaves and enjoy the beauty of nature🍁

Emain Macha’s Little Water Lily Pond

Have you visited the pond with the stone pavilion in the eastern corner of Emain Macha?

Whether the sun is shining or the moon is out, I think it’s beautiful at any hour.

Photos can hardly do justice to how lovely it is in person!

Be sure to stop by to admire the willows with their softly draping branches,

and take in the pretty water lilies blooming all across the pond~

I visited after dark to admire the water lilies,

and for some reason, they reminded me of John Everett Millais’s painting of Ophelia from Hamlet.

If I remember correctly, Ruairi and Rian visited this spot in the main story, too…

It’s such a lovely place that even royalty stops by~

It’s the kind of place that lifts your spirits just by being there, even if you’re doing nothing at all,

so be sure to visit at least once🌿

Sidhe Sneachta, Where Winter’s Stillness Lingers

Our next destination is Sidhe Sneachta!

It’s a lovely place to see how trees and other plants rest through the depths of winter.

Why not take a leisurely stroll among the conifers blanketed in pure white snow?

It’s a chance to appreciate just how resilient plants can be, surviving even the bitter cold.

I recommend visiting at night or dawn!

The sound of the wind drifting in, the faint twinkle of stars in the night sky,

the soft glow of the Moon Gate and fireflies…

With the whole world covered in white, it almost feels like walking through a dream⛄

A Crackle of Electricity: Admiring the Lightning-Struck Tree

Now, let’s visit a tree that’s a little unusual—and rather special.

It’s the lightning-struck tree in Sen Mag Plains!

Those lightning-struck branches used to craft materials such as illusion powder

come from this very tree.

Step closer and you can see electricity running through it.

It crackles so much you might wonder if an adventurer could get a shock while chopping it😲

Could this tree still be alive?

I’ve seen the occasional news story about fresh shoots sprouting from trees burned by lightning.

Could that same resilience be at work here in Sen Mag Plains, where the land is so barren compared to other regions?

You never know!

Erinn’s trees are tough,

so perhaps they’ve found a way to survive in harsh surroundings even after a lightning strike!

Let’s take a moment to appreciate the strength of plants that put down roots and grow even in parched soil👍
