DNF Mobile Update for Cherry Blossom Season

Before I knew it, it was already April 2026, and the cherry blossoms had started to open. Naturally, Hendon Myre in DNF Mobile is in full bloom too.

This year, The Kingdom of the Winds is celebrating its 30th anniversary, so we got a crossover visit from Walsook. I also heard that Grandmother Seonghwang is coming next week, with Blacksmith Tteoksoe following the week after.

So while I was taking in the scenery for the first time in a while, I also looked back over my recent progression—and a lot really did happen over the last month.

Enhancement and Refinement Progress

After my Spitfire hit its seventh +20 weapon on March 17, I used the March 26 4th anniversary update as an excuse to burn through all the enhancement materials I had been stockpiling for months.

There was a 10% discount event on enhancement costs up to +15, after all. Since I was already committing to it, I pushed both weapon enhancement and refinement at the same time.

The results came out to +16 x1, +17 x4, +18 x2, +19 x3, +20 x1, refine 4 x2, refine 5 x1, and on top of that I managed to raise my armor enhancement levels across the board.

The Crusader was especially lucky, going straight from +18 to +20. My Spitfire, on the other hand, had a much rougher time and even had to rely on pity a few times, so the contrast was pretty stark. It really did feel like one of those cases where fortune turns without warning.

That said, the Crusader still has to keep using a previous-season weapon because its performance is simply too good, and Exceed gear is also very hard to build specifically for synergy use, so its overall Adventurer Fame stays on the lower side. I have not really been able to focus on refinement either, so it is currently sitting at around 173,000 Fame.

Meanwhile, I now have a second character over 200,000 Fame: Blade. I had been raising that character ever since Sword Master first released, and eventually I job-changed into Blade. By a stroke of luck, I managed to set it up with an Exceed Legacy bracelet and a full set, so I ended up getting even more attached to it.

If a +20 character is geared in glowing epic pieces all the way through—basically an upgraded version of epic gear—and also has 3 Exceed pieces, it lands at almost exactly 200,000 Fame. Performance-wise, it is strong enough to beat Sirocco solo.

Another character I have been getting steadily more attached to lately is Inquisitor. Blade’s weapon is still stuck at refine 3, but Inquisitor managed to hit a refine 5 weapon this time, and with melee dealers getting buffed across the board, the damage has risen to a level I am pretty satisfied with.

Box Results

With the 4th anniversary update, the monthly item in the Box (Sealed Lock) was changed to weapon avatars, so I emptied out all the Liberation Keys I had been saving too.

The catalysts were nice too

So sweet

I had been saving them for such a long time that opening everything took quite a while, and maybe because of that, I even saw the monthly item come out double twice.

In the end, I got 8 weapon avatar boxes, so it was a dopamine refill on par with enhancement.

I handed them out to the alts that had been going without weapon avatars until now. The Male Mage weapon avatar turned out especially cute.

Sirocco Raid

In the first week of the Sirocco Raid added with the 4th anniversary update, I cleared it on 27 characters. I do not know if I will be able to keep this pace up every week, but for now I am having enough fun to lose track of time and just keep running.

As for my own impression, running it on a character with just enough Fame to meet the entry requirement has its own appeal—you really feel the satisfaction of clearing through careful play. On the other hand, if your Fame is high, there is also plenty of fun in simply overwhelming it with damage and finishing quickly.

A few bosses do feel somewhat rough for melee dealers, but when I think back to Anton's release, when the bosses had such enormous HP pools that the whole thing felt exhausting, this one strikes me as being tuned pretty well.

The drop rates have also been better than I expected. The biggest rewards are the card album and Exceed weapon, and across 27 runs I saw them fairly often. I even got one Exceed weapon pot myself.

As expected, a dud

Of course, getting your actual weapon is very difficult, but if you dismantle it, you do get a small amount of material used to craft an Exceed weapon, which shortens the road to pity just a little.

On top of that, high-priced auction items such as epic equipment selection boxes, card albums, and Ryan Cokes showed up often enough to provide some nice side income, and I even picked up an Exceed special equipment piece I happened to need.

After 27 runs, some people even started recognizing my nickname, and after trading greetings a few times, I naturally ended up joining a static party as well. Public parties are nice too, but recruitment takes a lot of time, so the longer you stay with a game, the more naturally you start thinking about finding a fixed group.

Wrapping Up

In the week 1 character popularity vote, Ten-Thousand-Blossom Lalaah won

That is all for this update on my progress after the DNF Mobile 4th anniversary patch. There is something about spring and cherry blossoms that naturally lifts the mood, and lately DNF Mobile has been giving me that same feeling every time I log in. I think I will be enjoying it for a while yet.
