On April 1, aka April Fools' Day, a very special guest suddenly popped up in DNF Mobile's Seria Room. Normally you'd be meeting Seria there, but for this one glorious 만우절, Okria (General Director Ok Seong-tae) and Minria (Content Director Go Min-yong) showed up in her place.

In the event menu, a 404 error screen popped up — the kind of thing you usually see when the internet decides to break — and instead of Seria, it displayed a message saying an absolutely unexpected person had been found.

Because of that, world chat got randomly flooded with 404 spam too, and honestly, it was the kind of event that just makes you go 컴하하.

As for the April Fools' gift, last year they gave out an 8-bit second awakening hat avatar, while this year it was a fatigue potion.

If you're more into practical rewards, you could definitely argue the potion is better than the avatar.

I Am Bald Avatar

Why is this actually real

Honestly, more than the actual April Fools' Day event, the one that continued the very next day felt even more like the real April Fools' joke to me.

​

That's because the Assemble Festival started across various Nexon games for Baram's 30th anniversary, and DNF Mobile got the I Am Bald Avatar Box. Yeah. This is real.

Over in Baram, I Am Bald is a pretty famous incident, meme, and reaction image all at once.

​

In Baram, when your character died, all of your items dropped right there on the spot, and you had to go back to that exact place to pick them up again.

​

Other players couldn't loot them immediately because, as the game put it, the warmth of the dead was still on them — but if they waited long enough, they could take them.

​

So it was pretty common to see someone waiting all day to grab another player's dropped items, while the original owner stood there next to them desperately begging them to move.

​

This screenshot is exactly one of those situations.

​

A different player standing on top of the item orders the owner to circle them 20 times while shouting "I am bald" 20 times, and right next to them you can see the actual item owner walking around saying, "I am bald."

​

The character was literally bald too, which made the whole thing even funnier, and that's why people still talk about it to this day.

​

Back then, I really doubt that bald player ever imagined an avatar modeled after him would one day get released.

The avatar set includes the same gray underwear top and bottom from Baram, plus the bald head avatar.

The gray underwear avatar and bald parts are both being added to the game for the first time, so they're surprisingly versatile. The little sparkle effect that flashes on the bald head every so often is also a big killing point. And if you even change the skin tone too, like with Male Mage, it turns into a full alien look.

How to Get the Coupon

Until May 13, if you go to the official Baram website (Go here) and enter the congratulatory message twice in a row, you can get a gift coupon. Make sure you include the period at the end too. There are a lot of coupon types as well — one for each game, for a total of 23.

To redeem the DNF Mobile coupon, open Settings in-game, go to the Personal Info tab, and hit the coupon entry button.

The coupon gives 200 Remy's Touch, 50 War God's Roar Potions, and 30 Revival Coins.

I've been burning through potions lately while running raids, so this worked out nicely. The items don't expire either, so you may as well grab them now and save them for when you really need them.
