This time, the topic is check-in routines: the in-game tasks you make sure to complete whenever you log in.

This post brings together my routines for MapleStory events that are currently running or ending soon.

[Challenger World] Season 3 Is Already Drawing to a Close

The current Challenger World began in December with the CROWN update and is already nearing its end, as it closes 1 month earlier than previous seasons. Most features will end on April 15 at 23:59.

First, the weekly hunting missions you have likely been working on will end, along with the level milestone and boss defeat missions.

The deadline to claim rewards for your achieved tier and the closure of the Challenger Shop fall at the same time, so be sure to plan ahead.

These events also end at the same time, so make sure to claim all rewards before the deadline.

Early World Leap will also end. I will cover the World Leap details below.

• Challenger Shop items purchased before the event ends expire on 4/16 at 02:00.

• Time-limited Challenger tier rewards claimed before the event ends remain valid through 4/29.

After these features end, Challenger World will remain open from 00:00 on Thursday, April 16—the date of the April live server update—until maintenance begins.

The event for defeating the seasonal boss 카이 on Normal and Hard difficulty ends on April 15. However, you can still enter the fight until maintenance begins, giving you a final opportunity to defeat the boss and collect its rewards.

Other activities, including Monster Park, Monster Park Extreme, and other weekly bosses, will also remain available until maintenance begins. The maintenance start time will be announced later.

Once maintenance ends, you will be moved to the dedicated World Leap map shown above. Only the actions shown there will be available; you will not be able to do anything else.

Make sure to complete the tasks outlined above before maintenance begins. For example, if you forget about an item you listed in the Auction House, you will not be able to retrieve it after maintenance.

World Leap will be available from the end of maintenance through April 29. If you do not transfer within this period, your character will be deleted.

Event Routines Continuing Until the Summer Update

This year's 23rd anniversary event started in March, an unusually early launch at 1 month ahead of the usual schedule, and is now moving past its 3rd week. It runs until the summer update in June, so the routine will remain much the same for 3 months. As usual, the events vary, but they are easy to fit into a routine because participation does not take much time.

• [Jin's Mysterious Garden] Claim Dice: through 5/13

This event only requires a button click once a day, up to 5 times a week. Rolling the dice in its Blue Marble-style format is also enjoyable, so this is the first interface I check when I log in.

I have not reached 20,000 yet, so I have not bought the potion, but I should be able to soon. Apparently, with full attendance, you can generally buy both the potion and all the Advanced EXP Coupons unless your rolls are exceptionally poor, which is reassuring.

This reward may be revealed later through a hidden mission, so keep an eye out for further details.

• [Mascot Parade] Check In: through 6/17

This event also requires just a click once a day, up to 5 times a week, making it easy to complete.

With full attendance, you can claim the magnet pets usable during the event on the April and May update dates: April 16 and May 14, respectively.

To qualify for the final reward, a permanent magnet pet, you can complete the required Parade Missions in batches. Mascot Power, however, is only available through daily check-ins, so you will need to buy passes if you have not checked in enough times. As of Thursday, April 9, there are 10 weeks remaining. If you start on that date, you will need to purchase 10 passes for a total of 30,000 Maple Points.

• [Lucid Burning] Complete Weekly Missions: through 6/17

Next, I transform into Lucid to complete the weekly missions.

Hunting is straightforward thanks to the deployable skill, the skill that refreshes it, the area-of-effect skill, and the skill that draws in dropped items.

The hunting-related weekly missions take about 1 hour and 10 minutes, while defeating the allotted 25,000 monsters takes about 2 hours, keeping the time commitment manageable. Any remaining Dream Eaters carry over, so I can finish them in batches when I have more time.

Each round of the Forest of Dreams takes about 20 seconds, so it requires little time as well. Getting equipment drops is a separate matter, however..

I have completed the boss missions through Vellum, but my equipment crafting attempt failed, so I will likely take on Lucid later. Fortunately, there is no need to rush anything other than the seasonal missions.

I expect to reach level 50 after finishing the rest; leveling seems faster than I anticipated. The Adversary's Cube produced no notable results.

• [Maple Sweets] Check In and Allocate SP: through 6/17

Defeating monsters as Lucid also fulfills the check-in requirements for the event buff skills. I finish by claiming that check-in, which completes my weekly MapleStory event tasks.

I will need to review the events added in the April and May updates, but I do not expect the routine to change significantly.
