Today, I’ve got something to recommend that’s sure to shake off that springtime drowsiness.

What are clan matches in Sudden Attack?

From middle school onward, whenever my friends and I got together to play a shooter, it was usually Sudden Attack! Clan matches were a big part of the fun, giving us a way to play alongside our fellow clan members.

You can jump into clan matches with teammates from your clan or recruit mercenaries, and your match record updates in real time. There were no ranked matches back then, so this was one of the modes where friends could get together and really play to win.

That meant we were locked in for every game, every round, going full tryhard, as they say. I especially remember forming clans with our classmates and taking on other classes—with both my class’s honor and my own on the line, I’d focus all the harder and give it everything I had.

I still remember getting our class assignments in the spring and, whenever close friends ended up in other classes, forming clans with our classmates so we could face off against each other!

From the win-streak system to edge-of-your-seat tension

If you played Sudden Attack before competitive matches came along, you’ll probably know the clan match system well. I found that clan matches are still going strong across a variety of maps, from A보급창고 to 제3보급창고.

Sometimes, when you find opponents at a similar skill level in clan matches, you’ll switch maps and keep playing against each other. We felt like we’d found a pretty even match, so we ended up playing 4~5 clan matches almost back-to-back. Once the win was in the bag, we all agreed to go knives-only and had some fun that way, too!
