A collection of links to the official channel’s lo-fi MapleStory BGM tracks, along with their original versions #로파이
마빡도로시
Hello.
This time, the keyword is lo-fi, and the focus is on the lo-fi tracks uploaded to Nexon’s official sound team channel.
Nexon’s official sound team YouTube is the NECORD MUSIC channel. Beyond the theme of this post, it also features a wide range of other music, so if you already enjoy MapleStory and Nexon game BGM, it is well worth taking a look around.
I had heard the word lo-fi from time to time without really knowing what it meant, so I looked it up, and found that lo-fi (Lo-Fi) is short for Low Fidelity, a broad term for warm, calm music with a deliberately lower-fidelity, slightly noisy atmosphere. It is apparently a popular genre, and in that sense, it feels quite welcome to see official channels remake familiar BGM and upload those versions themselves.
In this post, I have included the lo-fi version videos of MapleStory BGM uploaded to this channel, along with links to the original tracks as well, because once you start listening to the remade versions, you will almost certainly want to look up each song’s original BGM too. That way, you can listen while comparing them, and I have also briefly noted where each BGM was used.
