April is almost here, and what special day does that bring? April Fool’s Day, of course—the perfect excuse to play pranks on your friends. So, what April Fool’s events does Mapleland have in store? Today, we’ll walk through the event quests: Fooling the Liar, The Empress’s Might, and Helping Grandpa Gordon.

Fooling the Liar

Apparently, a monster named 헹키 has recently been looking for a potion that turns monsters into humans, with plans to trick adventurers. Sometimes, it takes a little lie to stop a liar.

To stop this plan, Cassandra asks you to collect 10 Yellow Transformation Petals. These drop from monsters within your level range.

My go-to hunting spot is Authorized Personnel Only, where Saity spawns, but finding space is tough when every channel is constantly full. I had to settle for my second choice, Lab - Area 203.

Once you’ve collected all the petals, speak with 헹키. Choose the dialogue options in this order: “Help you,” “That can’t be true,” “The potion that turns you into a human,” and “Actually, I’m a monster too.”

In the end, 헹키 will never be able to become human. You’ll receive 17,400 EXP and a Pinocchio Nose as your reward.

The Empress’s Might

Grendel the Really Old says he joined forces with Empress Cygnus of Ereve to create an Ultimate Explorer. When you tell him you’ve never heard of Cygnus or Ereve, he falls silent.

Regardless, you decide to learn from the Empress. Your objective is to collect 20 Lunar Dew from monsters within your level range. 

Lunar Dew drops from monsters within your level range. Just as in Fooling the Liar, hunt those monsters until you’ve collected enough.

Once you’ve collected all the Lunar Dew, Cygnus will transport you to Ereve.

Cygnus thanks you for bringing the Lunar Dew, but says you still seem far from ready to face the Black Mage. Of course, you don’t even know who the Black Mage is. Still, Cygnus tells you to speak with Oz before leaving Ereve.

Speak with Oz to receive a Flame Gear Skill Pass. It’s valid until April 1.

Helping Grandpa Gordon

Cassandra says Grandpa Gordon is making a puppet named Pinocchio, but hasn’t finished its face yet. She asks you to help by defeating monsters within your level range and collecting 30 Yellow Hardwood.

Once you’ve collected all the wood, you’ll receive 1 Liar’s Tree Sap 100% to upgrade the Pinocchio Nose, along with 22,846 EXP.

Wrapping Up

That wraps up our look at Mapleland’s April Fool’s event quests. Word is that Mapleland 2.0 is just around the corner. I found this event quite challenging, but I’m also excited that the 2.0 release has been moved up.
