Today, I got a slightly unusual PEAKER mission.

The challenge: put together a look in Y3K fashion!

Y3K fashion basically means a style from the year 3000.

Think futuristic, sci-fi energy.

And when it comes to styling, MapleStory is impossible to leave out,

so I logged back into my character for the first time in a while.

Turns out I was still wearing, unchanged,

the Special Label Set that launched alongside Ren.

As someone who has long treated “styling” as simply equipping a full set,

Y3K fashion felt like a pretty big challenge.

Thankfully, these days I have an advisor called AI,

so I could even get a little help with the styling side of things.

MapleStory even has a straight-up cyberpunk set,

but it still wasn’t quite the Y3K look I had in mind.

A key part of the Y3K vibe? Goggles or sunglasses-style items.

MapleStory actually has quite a few goggles you can wear in the hat slot.

Black Cat Goggles looked great, so I bookmarked them first!

But wait—just the Black Cat Goggles alone

cost 1 billion mesos, which completely blew past my budget.

And that was my Y3K fashion challenge:

buying one pair of goggles and calling it a day.

Still, it does kind of give off a futuristic warrior-girl vibe...

That’s at least passable, right?

The world is vast, and styling items are expensive—

a day spent learning one of MapleStory’s eternal truths.
