This post focuses on Maple Island, the new zone set to open at Lotte World.

The collaboration between Lotte World and MapleStory was announced quite some time ago, but the official opening date was only recently confirmed as April 3. I have pulled together the key details from the various sources available. Here is the schedule:

• March 14: Photo zones, experience zones, and merchandise shops open

• April 3: Maple Island zone (attractions) opens

• April 29: Lotte World reserved for exclusive use — details to be announced

Rides in the Maple Island Zone, Opening April 3

Scheduled to open on April 3, the Maple Island zone will cover approximately 600 pyeong and be themed around the towns of Henesys, Arcana, and Ludibrium.

Lotte World Reserved for the Entire Day on April 29, MapleStory's Birthday

During the March 14 Maple Now broadcast, it was announced: “We have set aside April 29 exclusively for Maplers who play MapleStory to visit. Of course, there will also be plenty of in-person events.”

No further details are available yet, so information on how to participate will likely be shared in future announcements and live broadcasts.

Additional Collaborations Continuing Through May

Beyond Lotte World, MapleStory will feature throughout Seokchon Lake, Lotte World Tower, Lotte World Mall, and the Jamsil Plaza area. The Seokchon Lake event begins in May and is set to feature a giant floating Orange Mushroom. According to the announcement, the events are planned so that visitors to the Jamsil area from March through May will find something MapleStory-related in one form or another.

Plans include filling the lawn plaza with mushrooms.

An AR (augmented reality) treasure hunt is also planned.
