Blue Archive - Chesed Total Assault Lunatic Clear Impressions
베르니카
With nasty mechanics, including instant-kill patterns,
Chesed Total Assault is still, even right now, pushing plenty of Senseis
into pain and outright giving up.
That kind of boss.
I spent both Thursday and Friday
burning tickets while testing and researching,
and in the end, today I cleared Lunatic,
the highest difficulty, on my very first ticket.
The experienced Senseis seem to finish Phase 1
with 2 parties,
but I just couldn’t make that happen,
so I ended up needing 3 parties for the clear.
<Phase 1>
Party 1: Wakamo party
This was the party I had to reset the most,
and since it was my main damage party,
the one that had to put in the most work, it was rough.
Since Wakamo is Light Armor and gets hit for weakness,
she was basically right on the verge of boarding the helicopter, and Sunako too
would sometimes be left at a sliver of HP, so this part was honestly brutal.
With the Wakamo party, I brought Chesed’s HP
down to half, then retreated.
(300=>150)
Because of how Chesed works, resets eat up
an absurd amount of time, so if you don’t
cut it here, things get dangerous.
Party 2: Eri party
This party started from a strategy I found online,
then I heavily modified it to suit my own style.
Magical Reisa will still see use later, so that part was fine,
but I built Eri specifically for Chesed.
This got Chesed’s HP low enough
for the School Uniform Neru party to finish,
bringing it from 150=>109.
Party 3: School Uniform Neru party
This was the School Uniform Neru party I used
to close out Chesed Phase 1,
stacked entirely with Specialists.
Unlike the Wakamo party,
all of the Strikers here have Special Armor or Elastic Armor,
so Chesed’s attacks are resisted across the board,
which makes survival a lot more comfortable.
After a number of resets,
I finally managed to finish Chesed’s Phase 1
with the School Uniform Neru party.
< Phase 2 >
Party 4: Magical Suzumi party
Chesed is infamous for how horrific
Phase 1 is, but in return, Phase 2
is actually on the easier side.
Since the drones are doing the damage anyway,
all the students really need to cover is buffs / CC / survivability,
so the clear itself is pretty easy.
I was stuck on Phase 1 until yesterday too,
so I hadn’t even seen Phase 2,
but when I tried it for the first time today,
I just cleared it on the first try.
< What I felt while progressing Chesed >
Chesed had a reputation already
as one of the trickiest bosses in Blue Archive Total Assault,
and while actually going through the fight,
there were moments when I genuinely wondered,
“Was this thing really made to be cleared?”
You have to finish it within the 60-minute time limit,
but because you have to break the lanterns one at a time,
the fight slows everything down and demands precise play
again and again, so by the end
the fatigue was extreme.
Still, it’s a boss that’s very faithful to its mechanics,
and because the damage windows
and every pattern are fixed,
if you stay calm and keep playing it out,
it really is a boss you can clear.
I want to give my thanks
to Magical Vigilante & Eri,
who did so much work in this Chesed run,
and now it’s time for me to go back to sweeping Torment
and start preparing for the next Grand Assault.
