Maple World Comes to Life! — Maple Island Opens at Lotte World
연백
Hello.!
In this post, as MapleStory celebrates its 23rd birthday,
I’d like to share some amazingly welcome and surprising news that
lets you experience the world of MapleStory in real life.
MAPLE ATTACK with LOTTE
A Maple World portal has opened up in Seoul’s Jamsil area.!
Through the Maple Attack offline event running from March 14 to June 14,
across places like Lotte World Mall, Lotte World, Seokchon Lake, Jamsil Square, and more in Jamsil..
you’ll be able to find MapleStory everywhere.
Since the event has only just begun, there’s still a lot we don’t know yet, but
among everything revealed so far, the main highlight of this post — and the news I’m most excited for
is Maple Island, so let’s check it out.
MAPLE ISLAND
A portal leading to Maple Island has appeared at Lotte World.
(It will officially open starting April 3. For now, it’s still under construction!)
You’ll be able to find it on the east side of Magic Island, located outdoors at Lotte World Adventure,
and along with various rides (attractions) themed around the actual MapleStory world,
there will also be various photo zones, experience zones, and performances prepared.
Let’s take a look through them one by one.
Attractions
Based on the rehearsal footage shown during Maple Now — which honestly felt like a mini showcase all on its own —
it looks like we’ll be getting the true alpha and omega of any amusement park: the attractions themselves.
Stone Express
As you can tell from the photo, this attraction gives off the feel of a roller coaster,
and it looks ready to deliver a brisk, exciting sense of speed, almost like you’re riding along on a Stone Spirit yourself.
Arcana Ride
This attraction seems to have you exploring while riding a mysterious Spirit Tree,
and while it’s still hard to pin down exactly what kind of ride it is, it definitely looks like you’ll be able to feel Arcana’s uniquely mysterious and cozy atmosphere.
(Maybe it’s kind of like Petit Bbang Bbang..?)
Eos Tower
This attraction gives off the same kind of vibe as the Gyro Drop, one of Magic Island’s biggest stars,
and after climbing high up Eos Tower, just like using a Return to Town Scroll,
it looks like you’ll get to enjoy the thrill of dropping in an instant.
Since it recreates Eos Tower, which I went in and out of so many times in Ludibrium,
this is personally the one I’m looking forward to the most.
※ There may be attraction operating/suspension schedules,
so please also check Lotte World Adventure’s operation/suspension information.

Photo Zones
No happy amusement park trip feels complete without fun keepsakes like this, and
photo zones where you can capture those moments have also been prepared,
so I hope you’ll take home brand-new memories that will stay with you forever.
They’re mainly located on Adventure 1F and at Magic Island, so they shouldn’t be too hard to find.
Experience Zones
There will also be various experience zones prepared where you can enjoy MapleStory in a whole different way.
For now, all we can do is try to calm our excited hearts by guessing from a few simple photos, but
it definitely looks like they’ll offer fresh and memorable experiences beyond the attractions alone.
Parade & Digital Mapping
A MapleStory-themed parade and 3D multimedia mapping are also scheduled to take place.
At Lotte World, there’s the dazzling parade that brings out that childlike wonder,
and the mapping show that somehow feels genuinely moving when you watch it — so don’t miss those either.!
Goods & Food
Special goods and food that you can only find at Maple Island are being prepared as well.
And beyond what’s shown in these photos, there may be even more goods and food waiting,
so I’d say it’s more than fair to head there with your expectations set nice and high.
So, that was a look at the latest Maple Island IN Lotte World news and everything there is to enjoy.
There’s still a little time left until the opening, so we’ll have to wait a bit longer, but
with this shaping up to be one of the biggest and most exciting offline events yet,
it really feels like even the waiting itself becomes part of the fun.
With that in mind, I hope you’ll make lots of happy experiences and memories there.!
