I'm 제이메르, a Nexon Picker.

MapleStory has done it!!! A collaboration with Lotte World is on the way.

And this isn't just any collaboration—they're planning a whole MapleStory-themed area called “Maple Island”.

I remember the showcase they held at the ice rink in 2023,
so I was excited to hear they're creating an entire themed area this time!

I was curious about what they had planned, so I looked into it,
and the scale really surprised me. It's quite a bit bigger than I'd expected! Let's take a closer look :D

1. Maple Island

Maple Island will cover roughly 600 pyeong within Magic Island.

“Henesys,” “Arcana,” and “Ludibrium”
will be the area's 3 distinct themes.

Imagine actually walking through the towns you've seen in-game!
If you're a MapleStory player, this sounds hard to miss!

It looks like the entire space will be themed, rather than just featuring a few displays, which makes me even more excited!

2. 3 New Rides

You can search YouTube for test-run footage. (Someone else has uploaded a video!)

First up is “스톤 익스프레스.”

It's a family roller coaster themed around the Rock Spirits.
It looks geared toward easygoing fun for all ages rather than intense thrills.

I've heard it might run for two consecutive laps since the track is fairly short.

I can see this becoming the most popular ride in Maple Island.

Next up is “에오스 타워.” It's a drop ride inspired by Eos Tower in Ludibrium.

At around 12m tall, it looks more approachable than terrifying.

It seems to move at a fairly gentle pace too, so it looks suitable for kids!

I think it'll be a popular choice for families visiting the park.

Think of it as a milder version of Gyro Drop.

Last up is “아르카나 라이드.” It's a spinning ride that circles the Spirit Tree.
It's in the same vein as a carousel—a nice way to take a leisurely ride and soak up the atmosphere ㅎㅎ

3. Photo Spots + Food + Merch

The character plaza in front of the main gate is set to feature sculptures of Pink Bean, Yeti, and the Rock Spirits.

I watched a video someone else uploaded, and there was more variety in the photo spots than I'd expected!

There should definitely be plenty of fun to be had taking photos here ㅎㅎ

I think this is something I'll appreciate much more in person.

“메이플스위츠” will also sell Maple-themed food.

Food is a big part of any theme park visit, so a menu that ties into the theme sounds well worth looking forward to!

“메이플 스토어” is also set to sell Lotte World-exclusive Maple merch.

If you love MapleStory, I suspect this will be a hard shop to walk past.

I'm curious to see what kinds of merch they'll have!

A gacha zone and hands-on activity spaces are also planned,
so it looks like there'll be plenty to see overall.

They're putting together something bigger than I'd imagined, and I can't wait to check it out once it opens ㅎㅎ

Between this and the drone show Nexon held previously,

it's wonderful to see them finding ways to bring the joy of the game into the real world too!

I really wasn't expecting the Lotte World collaboration to be on this scale! As a MapleStory player, I'm genuinely touched.

Maple Island is aiming to open on April 3!

I'm planning to visit sometime in April myself. I imagine seeing it in person will be a different experience.
