There’s just something so charming about a voice that breathes life into a character~

So let’s take a look at who voices the characters in Mabinogi Mobile,

and chat a little about the hidden lore tied to those voices too!

Morrighan

The character who had the biggest influence on me

when I first stepped into the world of Mabinogi was Goddess Morrighan!

Voice actress Soyeon is the one behind her voice~

Whenever she calls out to the adventurer in that serious, trustworthy voice…

there’s just no way not to follow her command👍

When the Mabinogi Mobile Chapter 1 video was first revealed,

I still remember hearing Goddess Morrighan’s voice at 00:19 and going, “Wow~”

Back when I first got into Mabinogi,

Morrighan didn’t have a voice yet

So meeting her again years later,

now with such a captivating voice, was honestly so moving~

In the most recent main story,

she really tugged at the adventurer’s heart with such warm, hopeful lines🥺💕

I figured that since she’s a god, she’d boss the adventurer around and maybe come off a little arrogant or haughty…

but her unexpectedly gentle and caring side honestly brought tears to my eyes

Voice actress Soyeon’s performance is seriously so, so good😭💘

But did you know this, adventurer?

As you travel around Erinn, there’s someone whose voice sounds a lot like Goddess Morrighan’s.

It’s Tieve, the one who runs the inn in Colhen!

Compared to Goddess Morrighan, her tone is brighter and a little higher,

but if you listen closely~ you can definitely hear the similarities

It’s not exactly unusual or especially surprising

for one voice actor to play multiple characters in the same work,

but if you know the hidden lore behind Morrighan and Tieve in Mabinogi Mobile, it really makes you go “wait, what?”

More specifically, this comes from Mabinogi Heroes lore!

Don’t be shocked, adventurer!

In Mabinogi Heroes, Tieve appears as the medium used to summon Morrighan!

Those sudden narcolepsy-like symptoms Tieve shows in Mabinogi Mobile,

are said to happen because Tieve’s own personality separates from her body while Morrighan’s begins to take its place…

That’s what those symptoms actually are😨😱

It seems this setting was carried straight over into Mabinogi Mobile,

which is why the same voice actress was chosen for both Tieve and Morrighan

If you’ve played Mabinogi Heroes, it’s the kind of detail that hits with pure shock and dread,

and for adventurers meeting these two characters for the first time in Mabinogi Mobile, it’s bound to spark some serious curiosity

I haven’t gone super deep into Mabinogi Heroes myself, so I don’t know the story in exact detail,

but even just skimming over it was enough to make me gasp at how intense that setting is

Still, Mabinogi Mobile feels like it’s going to tell a different story from Mabinogi Heroes

In Mabinogi Heroes, Morrighan is summoned through Tieve, so the two can’t really exist together at the same time

But in Mabinogi Mobile, both Tieve and Morrighan exist at once,

so it should end up going in a completely different direction from the story in Mabinogi Heroes, right?

That said, if you look at Mabinogi Mobile’s recent main story,

Goddess Morrighan ended up vanishing from Erinn in the end

So maybe…

could Morrighan return to Erinn later through Tieve’s body...?!😱

Tieve has had more weight in the main story than I expected,

so I can’t help feeling super tense wondering if she’ll take on a major role later

I’d be so happy if we got to hear voice actress Soyeon’s Morrighan again,

but wow... the story would be absolutely shocking💦

Everyone, let’s brace ourselves!

Kadan

And if we’re talking about Tieve, there’s someone we absolutely can’t leave out~ Kadan!

He’s always busy worrying over Tieve’s poor health and trailing right behind her🤭

Voiced by Jang Min-hyeok

He’s a really popular character thanks to that charming, clear, classic handsome-guy voice... and, well, he’s handsome too

And Kadan’s true identity is...

The evil god Cichol!

Just like Tieve and Morrighan, Kadan and Cichol have a similar kind of relationship in the setting

In Mabinogi Heroes, he acts desperately to somehow stop Tieve from becoming Morrighan,

and he shows that same desperation as he tries to find Tieve within the girl who has already become Morrighan

But here too, Mabinogi Mobile seems to be treating Kadan and Cichol as separate characters

Of course, that could always change depending on how the main story develops from here!

Jang Min-hyeok’s performance as Kadan in Mabinogi Mobile is great too,

but personally, I’m even more drawn to his performance as Cichol

A god who acts every bit as suspicious and shady as he looks...

and somehow has a voice that’s way too good...🤭

In Mabinogi Mobile, what kind of thrilling story

will Tieve and Morrighan, and Kadan and Cichol, end up telling us?

Through the performances of voice actress Soyeon and voice actor Jang Min-hyeok,
