Morrighan

The character who did the most

to draw me into the world of Mabinogi—our goddess Morrighan!

Voice actress So Yeon brings her voice to life~

When she calls to you in that solemn yet reassuring voice…

How could you possibly refuse her?👍

When the Mabinogi Mobile Chapter 1 video came out,

I remember hearing Morrighan’s voice at 00:19 and going, “Wow~”

Back when I first got into Mabinogi,

Morrighan didn’t have a voice yet.

Meeting her again years later, now with such a captivating voice,

was genuinely moving~

In the latest main story,

her warm, hopeful words really touched adventurers’ hearts🥺💕

I’d expected her to act a little haughty or arrogant, ordering adventurers around just because she’s a goddess…

But her unexpectedly gentle, caring side brought a tear to my eye.

So Yeon’s performance is just so, so good😭💘

But did you know this, adventurer?

There’s someone you can meet in Erinn whose voice sounds a lot like our goddess Morrighan’s!

It’s Tieve, who runs the inn in Colhen!

Her voice is brighter and higher-pitched than Morrighan’s,

but listen closely and you’ll hear the similarities.

One voice actor playing several characters in the same game

isn’t all that unusual or remarkable,

but once you know the hidden lore behind Morrighan and Tieve in Mabinogi Mobile, you’ll gasp.

More specifically, it’s lore from Vindictus!

Brace yourself, adventurer!

In Vindictus, Tieve is the vessel used to summon Morrighan!

Those narcolepsy-like episodes where Tieve suddenly falls asleep in Mabinogi Mobile

are apparently signs of her consciousness leaving her body as Morrighan’s tries to take its place…

That’s what’s behind those symptoms😨😱

It looks like Mabinogi Mobile carried this lore over directly,

which would explain why Tieve and Morrighan share a voice actress.

Anyone familiar with Vindictus will find that pretty chilling,

while adventurers meeting these two for the first time in Mabinogi Mobile will have their curiosity piqued.

I haven’t played much Vindictus, so I don’t know the story’s finer details,

but even a quick look at the lore was enough to make me gasp.

Still, I think Mabinogi Mobile will tell a different story from Vindictus.

In Vindictus, Morrighan is summoned through Tieve, so the two can’t coexist.

Since Tieve and Morrighan both exist at the same time in Mabinogi Mobile,

the story should take a completely different path from Vindictus, right?

But in the latest Mabinogi Mobile main story,

the goddess Morrighan ended up vanishing from Erinn.

Maybe…

Could Morrighan return to Erinn through Tieve’s body later on…?!😱

Tieve also has a bigger role in the main story than I expected,

so I’m on edge wondering whether she’ll have something important to do later.

I’d be so happy to hear So Yeon as Morrighan again,

but that would be such a shocking turn for the story💦

Let’s all brace ourselves!

Keaghan

We can’t talk about Tieve without mentioning Keaghan, of course~!

He’s always worrying about her poor health and trailing along after her🤭

He’s voiced by Jang Min-hyeok.

That clear, charming voice is perfect for a handsome leading man—and with the looks to match, it’s no wonder he’s popular.

And Keaghan’s true identity is…

The demon god Cichol!

Keaghan and Cichol share a connection much like the one between Tieve and Morrighan.

In Vindictus, he desperately does everything he can to stop Tieve from becoming Morrighan,

then tries to find Tieve within her even after she has become Morrighan.

But here, too, Mabinogi Mobile seems to treat Keaghan and Cichol as separate characters.

Of course, who knows what might happen as the main story unfolds!

Jang Min-hyeok’s performance as Keaghan in Mabinogi Mobile is great,

but personally, I’m more drawn to the performance as Cichol.

A god who acts every bit as shady and suspicious as he looks…

And has such a lovely voice…🤭
