In games and anime, a character’s looks obviously matter when it comes to popularity,

but the voice actor’s performance matters just as much too.

You’ve all had this happen at least once, right?

A character didn’t really catch your eye at first, but then the voice hit and suddenly you were sold.

For me, it’s Jhin and Xayah from League of Legends.

I wasn’t that into either of them when I first saw them, but their voices totally won me over.

MapleStory has a lot of characters with seriously attractive voices too,

and the one I want to talk about today is MapleStory’s final boss, Gerand Darmoor.

Gerand Darmoor is already a popular character thanks to his good looks,

and the voice actor behind Gerand Darmoor is

Jung Jae-heon, of course!

I’m not even someone who knows voice actors that well, but Jung Jae-heon is so famous that even I knew the name.

Still, I had no idea what he looked like, so I googled him and got shocked by his face first... then even more shocked by his age.

No but seriously, this is what 50 looks like..? Insane.

has this dignified but sexy voice that really fits MapleStory’s final boss, and I love it so much..😊

Out of all the Gerand Darmoor videos voiced by Jung Jae-heon, my favorite

is the Gardener of Sephiroth video from the Dimension Library episode,

There’s this scene where he takes off his glasses and reaches out his hand to Asha,

“Because in this sanctuary, you were the only life that had any value.” he says,

and wow, that part was just so cool!
