When you're busy running around to keep Erinn safe,

it's easy to let your own health slip by unnoticed

And among all those little warning signs, wrist pain can creep up especially fast,

to the point where even small movements start to feel uncomfortable

So our adventurers in Erinn can keep going strong for a long time to come!

Today, I'd like to share my own way of caring for wrist health

Cut back on wrist brace use and make stretching a habit

Have you ever had wrist pain and tried buying a wrist brace from a pharmacy or somewhere similar?

These kinds of braces can help when used for a short time,

but wearing them for too long can actually be hard on your wrist!

They can weaken the muscles and ligaments around the wrist,

which may end up making wrist problems worse…

so try not to wear one for hours at a time

I used to put on a brace whenever my wrist started throbbing,

but the pain didn't go away, and it seemed to last even longer

Following advice from a physical therapist, I stopped relying on the brace

and kept up with regular stretching, and I really started feeling better quite quickly!

Bend your hand back so the back of your hand faces you, and hold for about 10 seconds

Then slowly bend it the other way so your palm faces you, and hold that for another 10 seconds!

It also helps to use your other hand to gently press

on either the palm side or the back of the hand you're stretching

Another easy, simple way to ease an unhappy wrist

is to repeat clenching your fist tightly for 10 seconds, then opening it wide

You'll start to feel those stiff wrist muscles gradually loosen,

and notice the tight, sore feeling easing up

To better loosen a wrist that's been stuck in one tense position for a long time,

I also found it helpful to use a light dumbbell

Choose the lightest one so you don't put strain on your wrist,

and with your wrist and arm kept in a straight line, slowly raise it and lower it repeatedly

The important thing is to be careful not to let your wrist flop or bend out of line

If you do this exercise a few times,

you'll work the muscles throughout your wrist and arm and help release those tight spots~

If your wrist pain doesn't go away with stretching alone,

getting a paraffin treatment device to use at home can also be really helpful 👍

Whenever your wrist starts hurting, dipping it into the paraffin treatment device can feel refreshing almost right away~

Whether it's work or hobbies, many of us spend a lot of time sitting in front of a computer,

so it's no surprise that our wrists get tired easily, right?
