Having fun and making the most of life in Erinn?

Winter's chill is slowly fading,

and spring is making its way in~

So I'm giving My Home a spring makeover, too!

Let's chat about how to decorate for the season together🌼

First, let me show you the entryway, with the front door in view.

I put a table at a comfortable height near the entrance,

with paper, a quill, and an ink set on top.

I set this up with hopes of a guestbook feature someday~

Think of it as a little spot to leave a note before you go!😉

Just past the entryway, you'll find the living room.

The brown wood flooring and reddish-brown brick walls continue throughout.

Furniture in the same colors as the floor and walls could make things feel a little closed in,

so I balanced it out with white pieces and my favorite mint (teal) furniture.

Here's a little tip for mixing furniture colors~!

Pick a main color you love and use it for your accent furniture.

Then round things out with white or light brown pieces—they go with anything!

It's a lovely way to bring a room together without making it feel boring👍

And here's a tip for dividing up your space:

Walls work well, but a few well-placed partitions or larger pieces of furniture can do the trick, too.

They help your home look spacious without making it feel too closed off~

The kitchen is to the left of the living room.

I wanted slightly brighter, cheerier wallpaper here,

but I couldn't find anything that felt right for a kitchen.

I'd love to see light-colored tile walls or some new kitchen-friendly wallpaper added!

Since the wallpaper wasn't quite what I had in mind,

I went with light colors for all the furniture.

There's a table with a tangerine-colored tablecloth,

and kitchen furniture in my favorite mint, of course!

I used cheerful furniture colors to balance out the dull wallpaper

and make the room feel as bright as possible.

That dish cabinet over there is one I just bought,

and I love how it covers plenty of wall space while making the room feel fuller.

Last up, let's take a look at the bedroom~

It's much brighter and cheerier than the living room or kitchen,

so it feels just right for spring!

A light brown bed frame,

paired with yellow floral sheets for a fresh, springtime feel💛

It's a restful little space with the sunshine of spring woven right in.

I put up a framed botanical print and a wall-mounted planter,

then added a shelf on the adjoining wall

to keep the walls from looking too bare.

Across from the bed, I placed a desk and a bookcase.

A bookcase packed with books,

with more books and papers scattered all over the floor…

I wanted it to look like a book lover lives here—what do you think?😊

If a lighter-colored bookcase comes out later, I plan to swap this one out

and add a bright, cheerful rug under the desk to match.

Here by the bedroom door, I've placed a wardrobe and a mirror.

The wardrobe combines white and light brown,

along with the same mint as the bed, helping the whole space feel brighter.

Hmm, I'd love a bookcase and desk in this color combination, too.

A whole room of matching furniture would look lovely and tie everything together~
