3 Wrist Stretches to Do During an All-Night Gaming Session!

Hello, fellow game lovers.
This is Jaepamin!
When you are gaming, it is easy to lose track of time. I am the same way, and once I get fully immersed in a game, I often end up playing for hours in the same position. When that happens, the first place I usually notice fatigue is my wrist.
If you spend a long time moving the mouse or repeating keyboard inputs, your wrist can start to feel stiff or heavy. In those moments, even a brief stretch can make it much more comfortable to keep playing.
So today, I put together 3 wrist stretches that are great to do during an all-night gaming session.
Wrist Stretch 1
This is the most basic stretch, and it is easy to do without putting much strain on your hand. First, extend one arm straight out in front of you. Then lift your hand so your palm faces outward.
From this position, use your other hand to hold your fingers and gently pull them toward your body. You do not need to pull hard. A light stretch along the underside of your wrist is enough.
Hold it for about 10 seconds, then slowly release and repeat on the other side. This is a nice stretch to do during a loading screen or right after a match ends.
Wrist Stretch 2
This time, you will stretch the wrist in the opposite direction. With your arm extended in front of you, bend your wrist so your palm faces downward.
Next, use your other hand to hold the back of your hand and gently press it downward. You should feel the muscles along the top of your wrist gradually stretching.
This is especially helpful if you use a mouse for long periods. Personally, after playing FPS or RTS games for a long time, this stretch makes my wrist feel a little less tense.
Wrist Stretch 3
The last stretch is fairly simple, but it works well for releasing tension. Bring both hands together in front of you, then interlace your fingers.
Next, turn your palms outward away from your body while slowly pushing your arms forward. Try to keep your shoulders relaxed so your wrists and fingers can stretch naturally.
Hold for about 10 seconds, then slowly release. I found this especially helpful for games that involve a lot of keyboard input.
During an all-night gaming session, it is easy to stay so focused that you barely notice how tired your body is getting. But because your wrists handle so many repetitive movements, taking a moment to loosen them up is more important than it may seem.
The 3 wrist stretches that are good to do during an all-night gaming session I introduced today are simple movements you can do right from your seat, so they are easy to try between games without any extra effort.
On days when I play for a long time, I also try to do them whenever I get the chance. When your wrists feel comfortable, it is easier to play longer and enjoy your games more. Now, time to get back to gaming!
