I've been upgrading my gear a lot lately and hit 200 million Combat Power,

but with that much Combat Power, stopping at bosses below Black Mage + Normal Seren for my solo clears just didn't feel right,

so I decided to get back into boss practice for the first time in a while.

My original plan was to take on my sworn enemy, Easy Kalos, first,

but people kept saying Easy Adversary had easier mechanics than Easy Kalos,

so, being as bad at this game as I am, I decided to start with Easy Adversary!

I checked the achievement completion rate. Lower than I expected.

Still, I'm at 414% of the comfortable solo-clear threshold, so this should be quick, right..?ㅎㅎ

Video lectures help a lot more than trying to study on your own,

and games are no different, so before taking on Easy Adversary,

I spent plenty of time watching Easy Adversary guide videos from different YouTubers.

This guide helped me the most!

They explained the parry timing really clearly, which I appreciated.

Honestly, the mechanics looked simpler and easier than Easy Kalos's in the videos, so I thought I'd get a quick clear.

Yeah, that didn't happen. I spent ages getting nowhere in phase 1. Sob..

I figured the only way to get through this boss was to practice, so I kept at it.

Eventually, I got the hang of the parry mechanics,

and cleared phase 1!!!!

Before I even had time to celebrate, phase 2 started,

and the mechanics were so chaotic I could barely think. I burned through all my lives in no timeㅋㅋㅠ

Phase 2 looked the easiest in the videos, so I thought I'd breeze through it. Nope, just one hurdle after another..

Back to watching guides, memorizing mechanics, and practicing.

Once I'd practiced a bit, phase 2 really did turn out to be easier than phase 1.

It took me less time to clear than phase 1, tooㅎㅎ

Finally made it to phase 3!!!

In phase 3, you can only parry attacks that match the element shown above your character. Rainbow attacks can be parried regardless of your element.

A lot of the parry mechanics are similar to phase 1. Maybe the timing wasn't quite what I expected..?

Whatever it was, I struggled just as much with phase 3 as I did with phase 1.

Even after enough practice to get fairly comfortable with the parry mechanics,

I kept running out of lives. I was starting to lose my mind..

Honestly, I wanted to give up so badly, but this was the only keyword mission I could reasonably do,

so I gritted my teeth and forced myself to keep practicing.

Because I need that NX from the keyword mission reward to dress up my character..

Nothing motivates me more than that.

Whoa, I've never seen a full gauge in phase 3 before.

Adversary barely had any HP left, either,

so I had a good feeling about this run. Turns out I was right!

Finally cleared Easy Adversary in practice mode!!!!

See? Nothing's impossible if you keep at it and see it through.

Time to ride that momentum and do it for real~

After all that phase 1 practice, I died to some nonsense and was already starting to tiltㅠ..

I need to reach phase 3 with at least 800 대적의 의지. Sob..

Thankfully, I got through phase 2 without any mistakes,

so I made it to phase 3 with 800 대적의 의지.

This is where the real fight starts.. Let's go.

Wait, I could've sworn I timed that right.

Every bit of 대적의 의지 I lose breaks my heart a little..

Phew.. Still, I kept at it and made it this far.

A clear felt pretty much guaranteed at this point, so I let myself relax.

The second I relaxed, I missed every parry and my 대적의 의지 started plummeting..

All I could think about was finishing Adversary off before I ran out of lives again.

When is my burst coming off cooldown;;

I DID IT!!!!!!!!

Seeing that achievement pop up after beating a boss never gets oldㅎㅎㅎ

Easy Adversary, you're so bad at this.

I love using this meme whenever I beat a boss I've spent ages practicingㅋㅋ

I want to do this too, but Special Label prices are so high these days,

I'm stuck clearing Easy Adversary every week. That's my sad reality..ㅠ

Hopefully I'll get used to the mechanics soon and be able to clear Easy Adversary this comfortablyㅎㅎㅎ

And if you're taking on Easy Adversary and you're as bad at this game as I am, here's a little advice.

● Don't obsess over landing every parry

Unless you're right at the minimum clear threshold for your converted main stat boss ratio, missing a few parries

won't stop you from beating Easy Adversary. If you're unsure about the timing, I'd recommend getting out of the way instead of trying to parry.

You can always land the next one.

● Use Decent Holy Fountain whenever it's off cooldown

This skill can save you from a lot of deaths,

especially during the arrow rain mechanic in phase 3. Rather than trying to dodge the arrows,

try healing up with Holy Fountain. You've got a better chance of surviving that way.

● Prioritize survival over damage with your Link Skills

While you're still learning the boss mechanics, fill your Link Skill slots with survival skills.

You can swap in damage skills once you're more comfortable with the fight.

Nothing's impossible if you keep practicing and stick with it,

so keep at it like I did and try for your first Easy Adversary solo clear. That achievement has a 1.45% completion rate, so why not give it a shot😊
