Today, we will continue the Korean Folk Town quests in Mapleland with Kong Ji's Rice Wine. There is also an event quest offering EXP coupons to celebrate the new school term. We will cover that first before moving on to the main quest.

New School Term EXP Coupon Event

To start the event, interact with the Maple Mailbox or speak to the Maple Administrator.

The Maple Administrator has prepared a small gift of 2x EXP Coupons to celebrate the start of the new school term in March.

The 2x EXP Coupons are valid until March 8. That means they will expire and disappear after tomorrow, so be sure to use them soon.

Kong Ji

Kong Ji is pleased to see you and remarks that it has been a while. This time, though, you are the one asking for a favor: you would like some rice wine.

She says she has some left over from her sales and that her stepmother makes excellent rice wine. It is not free, though. In exchange, she asks you to bring something her stepmother likes.

Her stepmother wants Samiho Tails for their soft, fluffy fox fur, which makes them very warm. Kong Ji says her stepmother will not mind trading the rice wine if you bring 3 Samiho Tails and 1,000 mesos.

Hunting Samihos

To collect Samiho Tails, head to a hunting area where Samihos appear. I first visited Black Mountain Valley, the hunting area mentioned earlier. You only need 3 Samiho Tails, so you can collect them here and head back. I find this a convenient spot for the quest because it is the closest hunting area.

I would suggest Fox Ridge if you need EXP quickly and want to settle in for a longer hunting session. However, as I mentioned in the previous quest, Samihos have an EXP debuff, so it is not a hunting spot I generally recommend. I would also advise against using an EXP coupon here.

Rewards

When you return to Kong Ji, she is surprised that you actually brought the items and says her mother-in-law will be pleased with the tails. Your reward is 5 Rice Wines.

Kong Ji finishes by inviting you to return whenever you need more rice wine. She can only make it once a day, so you can repeat the quest tomorrow.

Rice Wine is a consumable that restores 400 HP and 400 MP. For comparison, a Blue Potion restores around 100 MP, making Rice Wine quite an efficient item.

Wrapping Up
