[Mobinogi] Abyss 4-Type #Dungeon Time Attack Setup Guide

Hello,

I’m Jeymer, and I’m active as a Nexon Picker.

Personally, I think Abyss is the most important content in Mabinogi Mobile.

You need to clear Abyss if you want to farm strong runes quickly.

As of Mabinogi Mobile Season 1, Abyss currently has

4 types total: Underground Great Cavern, Temple of Chaos, Altar of Resurrection, and Contaminated Junkyard.

Difficulty goes up to Hell 15, and from Hell onward, the rewards are the same as “Very Hard,”

but the mode is structured around competing for rankings.

I cleared all 4 Abyss types up to Hell 10 two months ago.

I haven’t reached Hell 15, but for players who struggle with time attacks at their target difficulty,

I wanted to put together a guide!

1. Find a party before you enter

Rather than relying on chance matchmaking, it’s better to form your own party through regional chat.

In general, a 1 tank + 1 healer + 2 DPS setup works best.

If you go in with 4 DPS and try to push higher difficulty, there’s a good chance you’ll get wiped.

I have guild members I run with every week, so I do Abyss & raids with a fixed party.

Our Freeze + Priest + Swordsman + Archer lineup is actually very well balanced :D

2. Adjust your setup

ocam (173)

You can swap runes even inside the dungeon through Character Window → Memorized Runes → Memory Engraving.
Abyss is usually divided into the first room, second room, and boss room.
It’s best to change your setup based on each section.

ocam (174)

Depending on the situation, you can use your standard setup or switch to an Exposed setup.
The Exposed setup works in most sections.
However, it’s not very efficient in the first room and boss of Underground Great Cavern, so a standard setup is better there.

For the Exposed setup, use ‘Destroyer’ as your weapon rune.
For armor runes, use ‘Overwhelming Power,’ ‘Delicate Handwork,’ ‘Blind Prophet,’ ‘Smash,’ and ‘Rending Claw,’ etc.
It’s a strong setup because once you trigger Break, you can melt mobs very quickly.

3. Team coordination and basic prep

ocam (178)

Pattern knowledge matters, but party coordination is just as important.
If you discuss your plan before going in, your clear time drops significantly.

For example, in the first room of the Junkyard, push all the way to the end and group the monsters before killing them.
In the second room, clear them together from one corner,
and in the boss room, it helps to assign positions in advance for when the adds spawn.

It’s also worth bringing basic consumables.
Nyangnyang Bombs, Acid Bombs, and elixirs can make a big difference.

ocam (175)

There’s one more thing to check. It’s basic, but still important.
Make sure your setup matches your class,
and make sure you’re executing your skill combos properly as well.

Even just knowing this much should make time attacks up to Hell 10 much more manageable.

As for Hell 11 and above... I haven’t gone there yet myself, so I can’t say much for sure,
but if you’ve made it through Hell 10, you’ve probably built up a lot of know-how already.
I hope this helps, even a little, with your dungeon time attacks!
