Nothing beats playing! Pororo the Little Penguin has reigned as the “children's president” ever since its first season aired on EBS in 2003, and now it's teaming up with KartRider Rush+.

I couldn't pass this one up, so I jumped right in. Here's my review of the collaboration.

Coupons

Here's the Petty profile picture in use. Pretty cute!

There are currently two KartRider Rush+ coupons available, both valid until March 15. (The Lunar New Year holiday coupon has already expired...)

To find the first coupon, log in to the official website and check the last page of the newsletter. It gives you a Petty profile picture.

For the second coupon, confirm that you've subscribed to the KartRider Rush+ YouTube channel to receive a Poby profile picture.

Redeeming a coupon is simple.

Tap the gear icon to open Settings, then tap the Coupon Code button in the Account Management tab.

A Look at the Characters and Pets

The Pororo character, Petty pet, and Harry flying pet are already available, and the Crong kart is scheduled to arrive on March 13.

Pororo is a Legendary character. His abilities grant +15% RP and Lucci for finishing 1st in Ranked Mode, +1.2 basic power, +5 quick boost duration, and a Gold Shield when crossing the finish line in Item Race.

Petty is a Legendary pet with a chance to block Missiles, Water Flies, Water Bombs, and Devils. She also has a chance to grant a UFO when you're hit by a Banana, Devil, or Lightning. She's a good fit for players who mainly play Item Race.

Harry, on the other hand, is well suited to Speed Race players. His abilities grant +164 Super Start acceleration, fill the Nitro gauge to 40% at the start, provide +25 basic power when drafting, and increase Exceed energy by 12% each time you activate Nitro.

The Crong Balloon is the easiest item to get, and it's quite useful: it has a high chance of blocking Missile attacks while also earning you Lucci.

Overall, I really liked the character models. They capture that cute, charming look while fitting right into KartRider Rush+. I'm looking forward to seeing what the Crong kart will be like, too.

Event Overview

You can join the collaboration events by selecting "Pororo Arrives" on the in-game lobby screen.

Collect 뚜뚜 fragments through 6 events and exchange them for collaboration-edition items. Collect them all to receive the Pororo Glasses, title, dashboard, and character, in that order. You have until April 22, so there's plenty of time to work through the events at your own pace.

Here are a few events where you can pick up rewards quickly. First, complete login missions and take part in Ranked Mode and Multiplayer races to collect First Aid Kit fragments, which you can exchange for the Pororo Paramedic Helmet and costume, Crong Balloons, and Season Coins. This event runs until March 8.

During the same period, you can also log in, participate in Multiplayer races, and win in Ranked Mode to collect Pororo Album fragments and exchange them for Pororo/Loopy/Crong/Harry profile pictures.

Next, complete missions to drive 5555m, check in for 5 days, and stay logged in for 60 minutes to earn Pororo Airplane fragments and exchange them for a Pororo Helmet, Crong Balloons, and Season Coins. This event runs until March 15.

For reference, one run of the New Track Challenge counted as 2425m of driving for me. You can finish the mission in two runs.

New Track Challenge

A new track, 아이스 펭귄전사 눈덩이 공격, has also been added, and it's a perfect fit for Pororo.

You can earn a variety of rewards by completing missions by March 4, so it's best to get started soon.

The track starts by taking you through an area filled with glaciers, then leads into a lava-filled cave midway through. There's a pit in the middle of the cave, but there's no need to panic and swerve—you can go straight across. Using Nitro does make the crossing more reliable, though.

After you leave the cave, you'll encounter several curves. The key here is to build up your Nitro gauge.

Penguins throw snowballs along the straight that follows, so use all the Nitro you've saved up to keep speeding through.

I was pleased with my first time of 43 seconds, but then I checked the rankings: the player in 1st place had a time in the 27-second range. There really are a lot of skilled players out there.

You can also earn a limited-edition title by placing in the TOP100, so if you're confident in your skills, it's worth a try.

Wrapping Up

That wraps up my look at the coupons and characters in the KartRider Rush+ Pororo collaboration. I took this opportunity to return to KartRider Rush+ myself, and as a returning player, I received the 천사 데이지 character for a limited time, her exclusive kart, and even a pet. That made it easy to get back into the game.

I'm sure new players will get equally good benefits, so log in and join the Pororo collaboration events while you can. Some events end in just 1 week, so don't leave it too late.
