Nothing beats having fun! Pororo the Little Penguin, which has basically held onto its status as the president of children ever since season 1 first aired on EBS in 2003, has teamed up with KartRider Rush+.

I couldn’t just scroll past this one, so I jumped in right away and put together a quick review.

Coupons

This is what it looks like with the Petty profile equipped. Pretty cute.

There are currently two KartRider Rush+ coupons you can use, and both are available until March 15. (Looks like the Lunar New Year holiday coupon has already expired..)

The first one can be found on the last page of the newsletter after logging in on the official website, and it gives you a Petty profile picture.

The second one gives you a Poby profile picture if you verify your subscription to the KartRider Rush+ YouTube channel.

Entering the coupon code is simple.

Tap the gear icon to open Settings, then go to the Account Management tab and hit the Coupon Code button.

Looking at the characters and pets

Right now, the Pororo character, the Petty pet, and the Harry flying pet have been added, and the Crong kart is scheduled to arrive on March 13.

Pororo is a Legend character. His abilities are +15% extra RP and Lucci for taking 1st place in Ranked Mode, base power +1.2, instant boost duration +5, and a Gold Shield when crossing the finish line in Item Mode.

Petty is a Legend pet with a chance to block missiles, Water Flies, Water Bombs, and the Great Devil, and also a chance to grant a UFO when hit by bananas, the Great Devil, or lightning. It’s a great fit if you mainly play Item Mode.

Meanwhile, Harry is better suited for Speed Mode players, with Super Start acceleration +164, 40% boost gauge charged at the start, base power +25 while drafting, and Exceed Energy +12% each time a boost is activated.

The Crong balloon is probably the easiest item to pick up, and it’s pretty useful too since it has a high chance of blocking missile attacks while also giving you Lucci.

Overall, I really liked how the character models kept that tiny, cute charm while still fitting the KartRider Rush+ style so well. Now I’m even more curious about how the Crong kart will turn out.

Event summary

You can join the collab event by entering 'Pororo's Appearance' from the in-game lobby screen.

If you collect DduDdu pieces through 6 different events, you can exchange them for collab edition items. If you collect them all, you’ll get Pororo glasses, a title, a dashboard, and the character in that order. Since the event runs until April 22, there’s plenty of time to clear it at a relaxed pace.

Out of those, here are a few events where you can grab rewards quickly. First, by completing missions for logging in and participating in Ranked Mode and Multiplayer races, you can collect First Aid Kit pieces and get the Pororo Paramedic helmet and costume, Crong balloons, and Season Coins. This one runs until March 8.

During that same period, you can also log in, join Multiplayer races, and win Ranked races to collect Pororo Album pieces and exchange them for Pororo/Lupee/Crong/Harry profile pictures.

Next, if you complete the missions for driving 5555m, 5-day attendance, and staying logged in for 60 minutes, you can get Pororo Airplane pieces and exchange them for the Pororo helmet, Crong balloons, and Season Coins. This one lasts until March 15.

For reference, one run of the new track challenge cleared 2425m of driving for me. So you can finish it in just two rounds.

New Track Challenge

A new track that fits Pororo perfectly has also been added: Ice Penguin Warrior Snowball Attack.

If you complete the missions by March 4, you can earn a variety of rewards, so this is one you’ll want to get to quickly.

The first part of the track has you racing through an icy glacier-filled section, then midway through you enter a cave with lava. There’s a pit in the middle of the cave, but there’s no need to panic and jerk the wheel—you can just drive straight over it. Using a boost makes it even safer, though.

Once you come out of the cave, you’ll hit several curved sections, and the key there is to build up your boost gauge.

Then on the straight section right after that, penguins start throwing snowballs at you, so just burn through all the boost you saved up and keep speeding ahead.

I was pretty happy with my first record of 43 seconds, but then I checked the rankings and saw first place was in the 27-second range. There are seriously a lot of cracked players out there.

If you make it into the TOP100, you can also get a limited title, so if you’re confident, it’s worth giving it a shot.

Wrapping up

That’s my roundup of the KartRider Rush+ Pororo collab coupons and characters. I actually came back to KartRider Rush+ because of this event too, and since returning users get the Angel Daisy character for a limited time, plus an exclusive kart and even a pet, it was easy to jump back in without feeling pressured.

New players will probably have benefits that are just as good, so if you’ve been thinking about it, now’s a great time to log in and jump into the Pororo collab event. Some of the events wrap up in just a week, so it’s definitely better to move fast.
