is to keep your hands clean.

Our hands can easily get dirty for many different reasons,

and since a smartphone is something we use with our hands all the time,

it also naturally has a fairly high chance of getting dirty through them.

Especially if you often play mobile games that require you to touch many parts of the screen,

sweat from your hands, residue on your fingers, oil, and other similar factors

can quite often leave the screen looking smudged.

For this reason, before using your smartphone,

it is recommended to keep your hands as clean as possible.

One reliable way to keep your smartphone clean

is to wipe it down with disinfectant solution, which I recommend.

Since this is one of the key methods in smartphone care,

let us go through the cleaning steps slowly.

Wet wipes (optional)

For disinfectant solution (ethanol), I recommend a product that is safe for use on the body.

Hand sanitizer that was commonly used during the COVID period, or disinfectant made for objects, would be good examples.

These days, pre-made cloth products already moistened with ethanol

are also a good option.

1. Prepare the smartphone

First, place the smartphone somewhere convenient for wiping it down.

If you are using a phone case, remove it and get both ready to be cleaned.

2. Wipe all parts of the smartphone with disinfectant solution

Spray the disinfectant solution onto a cloth / tissue / wet wipe first, then wipe the smartphone.

The important point here is that spraying disinfectant directly onto the smartphone may cause damage, so

I recommend applying it to the cloth first and then wiping.

In most cases, a microfiber cloth or glasses-cleaning cloth is the best option.

Tissue can be used when needed, but if you wipe too hard with it, it may leave residue behind,

and wet wipes are something I tend to use only occasionally when the phone is visibly dirty.

It is not only the screen that you touch directly with your hands,

but also the case, the back of the phone, and each edge that should all be wiped,

and depending on the smartphone model, devices with a protruding lens or recessed areas

can often collect dust or other debris in those spaces,

so it is important to clean every corner carefully.

3. Finish with a cloth / tissue

Lastly, to remove any remaining moisture or smudges,

finish with a dry cloth or tissue and the job is done.

If you used wet wipes, water marks may remain,

so you should wipe a little more carefully.
