Hello! Here’s a quick guide to the MapleLand Meraen Below the Village Mugwort Gathering quest.

Hello, this is GameSky.
Today, I’m back with another MapleLand Lower Town quest guide. Today is March 1st Independence Movement Day. This marks the historic March 1st Movement of March 1, 1919, during the Japanese colonial period, when people across the country raised the Taegukgi and cried out for Korea’s independence. It is a deeply meaningful day for Koreans, and also one we should never forget. MapleLand is currently preparing a March 1st Independence Movement Day event as well. So before getting into the main topic, let’s briefly look at that event and then move on to Kongji’s quest, Digging Mugwort.

Maple Mailbox |
|---|
When you log in to MapleLand, you’ll notice the Maple Mailbox has appeared. The Maple administrator says a simple quiz and a gift have been prepared for players in celebration of March 1st Independence Movement Day. However, since it isn’t March 1 yet, you’re told to come back then. I’m definitely curious to see what the reward will be.

Kongji |
|---|
It’s been a while since we last saw Kongji, but she says she’s very busy. She has a lot of laundry to finish, and she also needs to make mugwort rice cakes. The problem is that she doesn’t have time to go gather the mugwort herself.
So she asks the player for help. If you click Accept, she explains that mugwort grows in the corners of the village and up on Kkamak Mountain, then asks you to gather 12 Mugwort for her.

Mugwort Location |
|---|
A lot of mugwort can be found around Small Pondside. It may not stand out at first, but if you look closely, you can spot it. Also, among all the places where you can gather mugwort, Small Pondside is the closest.
You can see the tiny mugwort down here, right? Just press the normal attack button and hit it 3 to 4 times. In cases like this, the normal attack button usually isn’t set to the Control key by default, so it may be unassigned or mapped somewhere else.
If you attack it this way, an item will drop, and that item is the mugwort. You need to collect 12 in total. Sometimes Orange Potions or coins will drop, and sometimes nothing will drop at all. So keep hitting the mugwort at Small Pondside until you get all 12. In some cases, you may also have to wait for the mugwort to respawn.

Rewards |
|---|
Once you’ve gathered 12 mugwort and returned to Kongji, the final reward is 16,000 EXP. Considering that the reward is a bit modest, this seems like it may be more of a lead-in quest for the next one.
After that, Kongji thanks you for always helping her. She says she can make the rice cakes now, but ends up flustered because she still isn’t sure when she’ll actually have time to do it. That’s where the quest ends.

Wrapping Up |
|---|
Today, we went over Kongji’s mugwort-gathering quest. I expect the next quest will probably offer a better reward. Also, since March 1 is a holiday in two days, I hope you all enjoy a meaningful March 1st Independence Movement Day holiday.
That was GameSky. Thank you!
