Today, I tried another quest in MapleLand. Previously, I covered the Tiger Hunt quest from Chumji Park. This time, I'll walk through Fox Hunt, a quest that involves hunting Samiho.

Chumji Park

Chumji Park says the tigers were a nuisance before, but now the foxes' mischief is causing him trouble.

As an outsider, the player is unfamiliar with the foxes known as Samiho that live on Black Mountain. These foxes have become a serious concern for Chumji Park, and the player offers to help if they can.

Chumji Park is pleased by the offer of help.

Samiho are foxes that live on Black Mountain. Despite their young age, they are skilled at magic and mischief, and they cast curses on the villagers.

The curses are not fatal, but they cause a lingering illness that leaves everyone affected bedridden at home and unable to work. Chumji Park says it takes 999 fox tails to lift these curses.

Since each Samiho has 3 tails, however, just 333 Samiho Tails will be enough to break the curses. He assures the player that they should be more than capable of handling Samiho and explains that the foxes can be found near Fox Ridge.

Samiho Hunting Grounds

The first hunting spot to consider is Black Mountain Valley. Most of the monsters here are Samiho, but there are also 3 Hogul, so it is not quite ideal for hunting Samiho alone. If you are also working on Tiger Hunt, though, I think it is a reasonable choice.

Next is Fox Ridge, the hunting ground Chumji Park mentioned. Most of the monsters here are Samiho, making it an ideal spot. Samiho are level 56 monsters and a good choice for players at levels 50~60.

While hunting, watch out for the debuff Samiho can inflict on players: an EXP reduction debuff. You will not benefit from an active EXP coupon while affected, so keep this in mind if you plan to use one.

If collecting tails while hunting feels tedious, you can buy them through 메랜지지 instead. Samiho Tails sell for 600 to 1,000 mesos each, so buying all 333 will cost 199,800 to 333,000 mesos. Keep in mind that Korean Folk Town has no delivery service, so you will need to go to Aquarium.

Rewards

Once you have 333 tails, return to Chumji Park to receive 100 All Cure Potions and 30,000 EXP as your reward.

Wrapping Up

That covers the Fox Hunt quest. I recommend taking it on if you are hunting Samiho anyway, as you can make progress on both at once. The All Cure Potions included in the rewards also help keep the overall cost reasonable.
