Today, I’m covering another MapleLand quest. Previously, I went over Park Cheomji’s Tiger Hunt quest, and this time I’ll be looking at Fox Hunt, which has you hunting Sammiho.

Park Cheomji

Previously, Park Cheomji was troubled by tigers, but this time he says the foxes’ mischief is giving him a headache.

Since the player is an outsider, they wouldn’t know this, but there is a fox called Sammiho living in Kkamaksan. That is why Park Cheomji says he has been deeply worried. The player replies that they’ll help if they can.

Park Cheomji is glad to hear that the player is willing to help.

Sammiho is a fox that lives in Kkamaksan. Although it is still young, it is said to be exceptionally skilled at magic and mischief, and it places curses on the villagers.

Fortunately, it is not severe enough to kill anyone. They simply become weak and sickly. Even so, they cannot work and end up lying at home all day. To lift this curse, 999 Fox Tails are needed.

However, since Sammiho has three tails, the curse can be broken with just 333 Sammiho Tails. Park Cheomji says the player should be more than capable of handling Sammiho, and tells them it can be found near Fox Ridge.

Sammiho Hunting Grounds

One place to hunt Sammiho is Kkamaksan Valley. Sammiho appears there most of the time, but because three Hogeol also spawn there, it is a little hard to call it the ideal hunting ground. Still, if you are doing it alongside Tiger Hunt, this map is not a bad option.

Next is Fox Ridge, the hunting ground Park Cheomji mentioned. Since most of the spawns there are Sammiho, this is basically the best option. It is a level 56 monster, so it is a good hunting target for players around level 50 to 60.

One thing to watch out for while hunting is that Sammiho applies a debuff to the player. Specifically, it is an EXP reduction debuff. Because of that, if you are hunting while using an EXP coupon, you will not get the buff effect, so keep that in mind.

MapleGG

If collecting tails while hunting feels too tedious, using MapleGG is also an option. Since Sammiho Tails sell for 600 to 1,000 mesos each, buying all 333 would cost 199,800 to 333,000 mesos. For reference, there is no delivery service in Korean Folk Town, so you need to go to Aquarium.

Rewards

In any case, if you return to Park Cheomji with all 333, you will receive 100 Panaceas and 30,000 EXP as your reward.

Wrapping Up

Today, I went over the Fox Hunt quest. Since it works very well alongside Sammiho hunting, I’d recommend doing it while you’re there. You also get Panaceas as part of the reward, so it is not a bad trade at all.
