so plenty of adventurers choose to join one.

Choosing a name can be the trickiest part of starting a guild!

Let me give you a little help😁

1 Match Your Guild Name to Your Flag

When you create a guild, you'll choose an image called a “flag” to represent it.

There are all kinds of flags available, so pick one you like.

Then, why not choose a guild name that matches the image on your flag?

For example, my guild's flag features a blazing campfire.

Our guild name includes the word “campfire” to match.

For flags featuring spears, shields, and the like, try words like “Knight Order,” “Mercenary Company,” “Warriors,” or “Knights”

to give your name a strong, dependable feel.

If your flag features an animal like a dragon or wolf, using that animal's name is a nice, straightforward choice.

Think “Wolves of Tir Chonaill,” “Foxes of Erinn,” or “Red Dragon of Emain Macha”… You get the idea!

Let your flag set the feel for your guild, and think about what kind of guild you want to build.

With that in mind, finding a name should be easier.

2 Use Place Names from Erinn

Here's another way to come up with a great guild name!

Look no further than Erinn's place names!😉

Personally, I think hunting ground names are a great source of inspiration.

Don't “Wolf Forest,” “Goddess's Garden,” and “Ice Gorge” sound cool and full of atmosphere?

If you don't want to use a place name as is, try adding another word before or after it.

Try “Wolf Forest Watchmen,” “Goddess's Garden Guardians,” “Ice Gorge Guides,” and so on.

Want something a little more lighthearted and fun? How about these?

Maybe “Wolf Forest Troublemakers,” “Goddess's Garden Is My Bedroom,” or “Lost in Ice Gorge”…?

Town names can make for pretty cool guild names too.

I come across guilds named after towns from time to time.

“Dunbarton Merchants' Association,” “Colhen Mercenary Company,” “Tir Chonaill Adventurers”…

3 Let Your Guild Name Show Your Interests

What made you want to start a guild, adventurer?

Why not pick a name that makes that purpose clear?

An adventurer I know loves getting everyone together to play music

and sharing sheet music with each other, so they chose a name to reflect that.

If you enjoy playing instruments or making music together,

“Erinn Music Experts,” “Emain Macha Bards' Association,” “Bean Rua Musicians”

could be just the kind of name you're looking for👍

If you're into combat content, regularly running the Abyss and taking on raids,

how about “Erinn Fomor Suppression Alliance,” “Colhen Hunters' Club,” or “Abyss VIP”?

Keep all three tips in mind when naming your guild,

and you're sure to come up with an unbeatable name you won't regret! (Maybe?)

Just take care not to choose anything that might offend other adventurers,

and I hope your own wit shines through in a guild name full of personality!
