Hi, everyone! I’m 재파민,

a big fan of Nexon games!

I think guild names are just as hard to come up with as in-game nicknames. After all, they represent the identity and personality of a group that can have dozens of members. That makes them pretty important!

Struggling to name your guild? I’ve rounded up 3 types of guild names I like to use. Hopefully, they’ll give you some ideas. Let’s go!

Place Names (e.g. Mohyeon-eup, Namwirye)

First up: place names. These are a good fit for a group of local friends or acquaintances. Even if you don’t have friends to play with, a name like this can bring together people from the same area—a great way to make friends.

My MapleStory guild is called “Mohyeon-eup,” after my high school friends’ hometown. It’s been around for 7 years now, so it’s got a bit of a pedigree. Hehe.

Anime Characters/Nice-Sounding Words (e.g. Demonic Statue of the Outer Path, 제티, Uchiha)

The second type mixes anime references with words that sound good. These names are great for bringing together people who share a particular hobby or interest. They work well for solo guilds, too.

Names like 제티 don’t have much meaning, but they sound cute. They’re popular with soft, gentle “egen” guys and girls, which makes recruiting guild members easier. My alt’s guild is called Demonic Statue of the Outer Path, after a villainous monster from Naruto. The name sounded powerful, so I picked it for my solo guild.

Organization Names (e.g. OO Club, OO Squad, OO Gang, OO and Friends)

The third type takes the classic guild-naming approach. It’s a good choice when you want matching nicknames based on your guild’s name. “OO and Friends” works well when you just want to relax and have fun gaming with friends.

The guild I’m in on Mabinogi Mobile is called “Private Club.” I like that it sounds a little secretive, like a gathering of highly skilled players.

That wraps up my 3 guild name recommendations. As I mentioned earlier, a guild’s name gives your group its identity and personality, so it’s worth being a little more selective when looking for a guild to join.

Personally, I like words that sound good and English words written in lowercase. I hope you find a great guild that suits your personality, too. Thanks for reading!
