Play a game long enough, and you’re bound to have a few regrets along the way.

In my case, I passed on the Lunar New Year avatars released in DNF Mobile in 2023, thinking, “They’ll come back eventually.” But here we are in 2026, and they still haven’t returned. Looking at them again, the designs are some of the best ever released, so I still regret missing out.

To avoid making the same mistake, I logged into Mabinogi Mobile for the first time in a while.

The game is giving away hanbok and graduation outfits for free as part of the Lunar New Year events.

They looked much nicer in-game than I expected, and they’re easy to get, too. Let me walk you through it.

How to Get the Hanbok

Log into Mabinogi Mobile and open the Events menu to find “I Want Some 자루퍼, Meow”. You can use this entry to visit the Strange Cat.

Visit the Strange Cat to exchange “Wooden 자루퍼” for the Morning Calm Hanbok Set Shopping Bag, the Lucky Pouch, Top Spinning, and Kite Flying emotes, and more. The Hanbok Set Shopping Bag costs 50 Wooden 자루퍼.

You can collect Wooden 자루퍼 through the daily and weekly “Missions Full of Luck.”​​ Logging in each day gives you 4, spending 20 Silver Coins each day gives you 4, and completing 5 daily missions gives you another 4. The weekly mission to spend 100 Silver Coins rewards you with 30.

These missions also reward you with Heart-Pounding Golden Chests, which felt a little like receiving Lunar New Year gift money.

Add up the Wooden 자루퍼 rewards, and you can buy the hanbok after completing just one weekly mission and five daily missions. Two days is all you need. Spending Silver Coins isn’t difficult either, so new and returning players can take part without much trouble.

Fluttering Petals and Dawn Mist outfits

Open the Morning Calm Hanbok Set Shopping Bag to choose between two styles.

Fluttering Petals is a skirt-and-jacket hanbok in warm, vibrant colors, while Dawn Mist is a traditional dopo robe with understated colors and a dapper look. Female characters can wear the gat hat and dopo robe too, making it a good option for an androgynous look.

The hanbok looks especially good on Dancers, since they use fans as weapons.

Maybe this is a good chance to try leveling a Dancer yourself...

How to Get the Graduation Outfit

Separate from the hanbok event, you can also earn a graduation outfit. Look in the Quests tab for “Start the New Year in Erinn.”

Why is 설낭자 so pretty?

Select the quest and visit 설도령 and 설낭자 to exchange New Year’s greetings and start the missions.

Complete the missions over 5 days to earn extra Wooden 자루퍼, with the graduation outfit as your final reward.

The missions involve meeting NPCs around Erinn and helping them with their requests.

It felt surprisingly nice to see familiar faces again after so long and exchange New Year’s greetings and warm wishes. I’d love to see events like this more often.
