If you play one game consistently for long enough, there’s almost always something you end up regretting later.

For me, that was the Lunar New Year avatar in DNF Mobile back in 2023. I remember thinking, “It’ll probably come back next time,” so I just let it pass. But now it’s 2026, and it still hasn’t been released again. Looking at it now, the design was honestly top-tier, so I still regret missing it.

So I logged back into Mabinogi Mobile for the first time in a while to make sure I didn’t repeat that mistake.

Right now, they’re giving away hanbok and graduation commemorative outfits for free through the Lunar New Year event.

After checking them out in person, I liked them way more than I expected—and the process is easy too—so I wanted to share how to get them.

How to get the hanbok

Once you log into Mabinogi Mobile and open the event menu, you’ll see an entry called “Jaruper Wants to Eat, Meow”. That’s the one that takes you to the Strange Cat.

When you visit the Strange Cat, you can spend “Wooden Jaruper” on the Calm Morning Hanbok Set Shopping Bag, lucky pouches, spinning top and kite-flying actions, and more. You need 50 Wooden Jaruper to buy the hanbok set shopping bag.

You can collect Wooden Jaruper through the daily and weekly “Lucky Mission.”​​ You get 4 from daily login, 4 from spending 20 silver copper coins daily, 4 from completing daily missions 5 times, and 30 from the weekly mission for spending 100 silver copper coins.

You also get a Heart-Pounding Golden Box along the way, and it honestly felt a bit like receiving New Year’s money.

If you work out the Wooden Jaruper totals, you can buy the hanbok immediately just by clearing the weekly mission once and completing the daily mission five times. Two days is enough, and since spending silver copper coins isn’t hard either, even new and returning players can jump in without feeling burdened.

Fluttering Petals and Dawn Mist outfits

When you open the Calm Morning Hanbok Set Shopping Bag, you can choose one of two styles.

Fluttering Petals is a colorful hanbok with warm tones in a chima jeogori style, while Dawn Mist is a dopo with calm, dandy colors. Even female characters can wear the gat and dopo, so it’s also great if you want a more androgynous look.

Dancers, in particular, use fans as weapons, so the hanbok look suits them especially well.

How to get the graduation commemorative outfit

Separate from the hanbok event, you can also claim a graduation commemorative outfit. In the Quest tab, there’s a quest called “The New Year Begins in Erinn.”

Why is Seollangja this pretty

Click it, and once you go find Seoldoryeong and Seollangja, the mission begins along with some New Year greetings.

If you progress through the mission over 5 days, you’ll also earn extra Wooden Jaruper, and the final reward is the graduation commemorative outfit.

The missions themselves are basically about visiting NPCs around Erinn and helping with their requests.

There was something oddly nice about meeting familiar faces again after a long time, exchanging New Year greetings, and sharing well-wishes. I’d love to see events like this more often.
