Now, let's turn to today's topic: Tiger Hunting, one of Mr. Park's quests.

Mr. Park

Mr. Park asks whether you've heard of the Hogul living on Black Mountain. He explains that these large, dignified tigers suddenly turned aggressive and began attacking people. Fearing that something terrible will happen soon if this continues, he is recruiting hunters to deal with them.

He says Hogul often appear halfway up Black Mountain, which is why the area is called Tiger Valley. He asks you to head there, defeat 10 Hogul, and bring back 10 Tiger Skins. He frames it as a chance to test your courage, though he seems to enjoy putting others to work.

Hodori and Hogul Hunting Grounds

First up is Small Pond. This area is mostly home to level 50 Hodori, though two level 53 Hogul occasionally appear as well.

The next hunting grounds, Tiger Forest 1, 2, also have plenty of Hodori but only around two Hogul. Like Small Pond, these are excellent places to hunt Hodori, but they aren't efficient spots for hunting Hogul.

The same goes for Tiger Ridge. Hodori appear frequently, but there are only around two Hogul here, so this isn't an ideal spot for hunting Hogul either.

Black Mountain Valley is a little better, with around 3~4 Hogul appearing instead of Hodori. However, another monster, Samiho, also appears here, so it still isn't ideal for hunting Hogul.

How to Reach Wild Hog's Area

Do you see the spot that looks like a broken cart in the upper-left corner of Tiger Ridge? Stand there and press the up arrow key to enter the Hidden Street.

This takes you to Wild Hog's Area. Around 2 level 70 tamable hogs appear here, but most of the monsters are Hogul, with several to hunt. This is the best place to hunt Hogul, though you'll need to watch out for the level 70 hogs.

Rewards

After defeating 10 Hogul and returning with 10 Tiger Skins, I received 20,000 EXP as a reward. 

The quest ends with Mr. Park asking you to stay in the village a little longer.

Wrapping Up

That wraps up our look at Tiger Hunting. It's a good quest to pick up before heading out if you're planning to hunt Hogul anyway. The reward isn't especially generous, but it feels reasonable for such a straightforward quest.
