Updated MapleStory M level 120 leveling route for linking to PC MapleStory Union, plus a few extras @ #휴게소 맛집

Hello
The keyword for this post is rest stop favorites, so I wanted to put together a guide on mobile games that are worth playing in the car.
I previously wrote about raising a MapleStory M character for the PC MapleStory link, but updates have completely changed the process since then, so I decided it was worth revisiting. This should be helpful not only for new players, but also for returning players who raised one in the past and now need to do it again for one reason or another.
PC MapleStory link rank based on MapleStory M level
To start with, raising a character in MapleStory M lets you add bonus blocks to your Union board in PC MapleStory and benefit from their effects. There are currently five rank tiers in total, but in practical terms the most important ones are the SS block at level 120 and the SSS block at level 250.
-
MapleStory M characters reach B/A/S/SS/SSS ranks at levels 30/50/70/120/250 respectively (raider effect: Attack Power/Magic Attack +5/10/15/20/25)
Reaching level 120 used to take a fair amount of time, but various easing patches have made it very fast now, and as covered below, level 250 can also be reached quickly during certain periods. Outside those periods, however, the time and effort required are simply too high for the value you get, so it makes sense to secure the level 120 SS rank first. Even that alone gives you +20 Attack Power and Magic Attack, along with 4 extra Union slots compared to having nothing at all, so my recommendation is to rush to 120 first and then come back for 250 later.
On top of that, completing 5 simple daily quests each day lets you earn 700 Mileage in PC MapleStory. Since this is applied separately from the monthly 50,000 Mileage cap, it is a fairly meaningful benefit now that Mileage matters more through buff items, weather-use items, and the two cube types added to the Mileage Shop.
Very fast level 250 progression appears to be limited to major event seasons
The route that became a hot topic during this winter update—where the synergy between reduced EXP requirements, new events, and showcase rewards made it possible to hit MapleStory M level 250 in 30 minutes, or at most within 1 hour—is not possible right now. In the end, and the showcase gifts were the key pieces that made that pace possible.
That route worked because provided the 1+4 level-up benefit, and the gift box rewards included 6 Growth Potions. Since that event and those gifts are no longer available, it now takes at least several weeks.
So, as mentioned above, if you do not already have a MapleStory M character, the sensible approach is to stop at level 120 for now, clear only the Mileage daily quests, and then push further during the two major event seasons in June and December. Fortunately, getting to level 120 is still quick even without an active event.
Reaching level 120 through the event, available until April 15: about 5 minutes
The event works much like in PC MapleStory. It began in the winter season, is still available now, and can be used until April 30.
You can start it by registering through the UI shown above during character creation.
From there, you can level very quickly through a series of simple missions.
Strictly speaking, we do not need level 200 here, but you cannot leave the map before that point, so you do need to continue all the way through. In practice, reaching level 200 only takes about 5 minutes anyway, so you can simply keep pressing the buttons. Once you hit level 200, you can stop the quest that continues automatically.
Reaching level 120 through the always-available route selection: about 10 minutes
Even when the event is not running, you can still get to level 120 quickly through the content.
This is not an event, but a permanent feature. When creating a character, you will be given two options like the ones shown above, and you should use the button on the right.
Like , this route also lets you level quickly through a simple tutorial-style sequence, and you can move a little faster by skipping parts of it.
Once you reach level 100, you are moved to Henesys and the second growth mission opens, continuing on to level 200. Since our target here is level 120, you only need to complete the missions up to 120.
For the Normal Zakum mission, a solo clear is fast enough, so instead of using Quick Join, you can just create a party and press Start for an immediate clear.
Once you finish the mission for enhancing the Angry Zakum Belt, you should reach level 120 in roughly 10 minutes total.
Story Mode, meanwhile, lets you play through each class's story from level 1 onward, so it is worth trying if you enjoy story content.
Tips for PC MapleStory linking and daily quests
After reaching level 120, you can link the character to your PC MapleStory account through the button in the Daily Online tab of the Tasks menu. The link does take a little time to apply, so there is no need to worry if it does not show up immediately; when you check again later, you should be able to confirm it on the Union board.
If you want to link to a different account instead, you can simply repeat the same process, and the linked account will be changed automatically.
For level-range monster quests, you can use a normal field, but the Mini Dungeon under Quick Content has a much higher monster count, so it is the better option.
For the daily quest that requires 3 Fever Buff uses, you can clear it more quickly by using the Fever Buff recharge tickets from events. Just be careful with the ON/OFF button under Fever Buff, since it will keep consuming them automatically until the entire remaining amount is used up.
Fever Buff recharge tickets can be bought with coins when a Coin Shop event is active. In practice, you can simply leave auto-battle running and close the game, since you will obtain the coins automatically that way.
In that case, when entering the Mini Dungeon, make sure to turn this option off so your character keeps hunting continuously.
For the item acquisition quest, you can finish it quickly by buying 10 potions from the shop. For the potion consumption quest, simply use those potions yourself.
If you just created the character, the event pet lasts 90 days, so there is no need to worry right away. However, if that period ends and you still do not have a new pet, your character will die in the Mini Dungeon, so at that point you should move to a normal field to clear the monster defeat quest, sell potions at the shop for Mesos, and activate Fever Buff manually.
Lastly, if you complete a daily quest while in the Cash Shop, then in windowed mode you can have it credited immediately without re-entering the Cash Shop by clicking anywhere outside MapleStory and then clicking back into the MapleStory window.
