Sim Bongsa |
|---|
When you talk to him, he introduces himself as Sim Bongsa, who lives with his only daughter, Cheong. The problem is, he says he has no idea where Cheong went.
He says he isn’t actually blind—it’s just that his vision has gotten blurry with age. So the player suggests he try wearing glasses.
After hearing about an item called Magnifying Glasses, Sim Bongsa says they would be perfect for him—but they’re just too expensive.
The price is 300 sacks of Government Rice. Sim Bongsa says he’s already worried about his next meal, so there’s no way he can afford that. He also says he couldn’t bring himself to tell his daughter, since she’s such a kind child and would only feel bad about it.
When the player offers to help, Sim Bongsa is thankful and asks for 300 sacks of Government Rice. The only issue is that the player doesn’t have any rice on hand.
So Sim Bongsa tells you that if you don’t have enough rice, you should get Government Rice from the Retz in Helios Tower. Anyway, the objective here is simple: collect 300 sacks of Government Rice.

Retz Hunting Ground |
|---|
The closest Retz hunting spot to Lower Town is Helios Tower 2nd Floor. It’s very close to Lower Town, and getting back is quick, so for a nearby farming spot, this is about as good as it gets. In other words, there’s no need to travel far—just hunt here.
While you’re hunting, do you see that item off to the side that looks like a cloth bundle? That’s Government Rice. Of course, you need 300 of them. Also, Government Rice isn’t sold on 메랜지지, so you’ll need to farm it yourself. Does that mean this takes forever? Not really. The reason is that Retz can sometimes drop 2 to 3 at a time instead of just 1, so you don’t need to worry too much about the drop rate. Anyway, keep hunting until you reach 300.

Rewards |
|---|
Once you return to Sim Bongsa, he thanks the player for gathering all 300 sacks of Government Rice. The reward is 1 Filial Daughter Sim Cheong Storybook and 5,700 EXP. This storybook also seems like it’s probably connected to Librarian Wiz.
He says that without the player, it would have taken him many long years, so as a sign of gratitude, he gives you a book that has been passed down as a family heirloom. And with that, Sim Bongsa’s Request comes to an end.

Today, we went over Sim Bongsa’s Request. This time as well, we ended up receiving another storybook. So if you collect a lot of these storybooks and then visit Librarian Wiz, you can probably expect a pretty nice reward.
