Haenim



Haenim in Korean Folk Town needs your help. Ask him “What’s wrong?” to continue the story.



Before explaining, Haenim asks you to make a promise. He tells you that his mother went out to sell rice cakes, and he hadn’t heard from her for several days. Last night, someone he thought was his mother returned and asked him to open the door. But when he saw a hairy hand through the gap in the door, he realized it was a tiger disguised as his mother.



Haenim and his younger sibling kept asking questions to stall until morning. The tiger then revealed its true nature, threatened to eat them both, and disappeared.



He asked the adults in the village for help, but they were all too frightened to do anything. Eventually, he fell asleep trembling with fear. The Jade Emperor then appeared in his dream and told him how to escape the tiger.



To carry out the plan, he needs Tough Rope and Slippery Oil. You can get the rope from Hodori and the Slippery Oil from Seacle.

Where to Hunt Hodori



First, head to Small Pond to hunt Hodori. These monsters are level 50. Defeat them to collect Tough Rope.

This is what Tough Rope looks like. I’m not sure why Hodori carries it, but keep hunting until you’ve collected 20. If you’re at levels 50~60, consider using an EXP coupon while you hunt.

Where to Hunt Seacle



For Seacle, head to Blue Seaweed Road in Aqua Road. These monsters are only level 25, so they’re very easy to defeat.

The oil’s drop rate isn’t particularly low, so you should get it after a little hunting. Keep going until it drops.

Rewards



Once you’ve collected all the items, return to Haenim to receive 1 copy of the storybook The Kids That Became the Sun and the Moon and 16,000 EXP. The book seems to be connected to an NPC called Wiz the Librarian.



Haenim thanks you and promises never to forget your kindness, bringing the quest to a close.
