Anyway, today we’re going over Haetnim’s Korean Folk Town quest, The Brother and Sister Who Became the Sun and the Moon.

Haetnim



Haetnim in Korean Folk Town is asking for help. If you choose “What’s going on?”, you can continue the story.



Before anything else, Haetnim asks you to make a promise. Her mother went out to sell rice cakes, but there had been no news from her for several days. Then last night, her mother came back and asked them to open the door. But when they saw a shaggy hand through the door, they realized it was actually a tiger disguised as their mother.



So Haetnim and her younger sibling kept asking questions and stalled for time until morning. After that, the tiger revealed its true nature, threatened to eat them both, and disappeared.



They asked the village elders for help, but everyone was too frightened to step in. In the end, while sleeping anxiously, Haetnim had a dream in which the Jade Emperor appeared and taught them a way to escape the tiger.



To carry out that plan, you’ll need a sturdy rope and slippery oil. You can get the sturdy rope from Hodori and the slippery oil from Cico.

Hodori Hunting Ground



First, the Hodori Hunting Ground is located at Small Pond. These monsters are level 50, and you’ll need to hunt them to collect the sturdy rope.

For reference, this is what the sturdy rope looks like. I’m not sure why Hodori has it, but either way, keep hunting until you collect 20. If you’re around level 50 to 60, using an EXP coupon here is not a bad idea.

Cico Hunting Ground



For the Cico Hunting Ground, head to Blue Seaweed Path in Aqua Road. Since Cico is level 25, it’s a very easy monster to hunt.

The oil drop rate isn’t especially low. It should show up after a bit of hunting, so just keep going until it drops.

Rewards



Once you collect all the items and return to Haetnim, you’ll receive 1 copy of The Brother and Sister Who Became the Sun and the Moon storybook, along with 16,000 EXP. It seems like this book is probably connected to an NPC named Librarian Wiz.



Finally, Haetnim thanks you and says she won’t forget your kindness, and that brings the quest to an end.
