DNF Mobile’s Lunar New Year gifts — plus a preview of the Proving Grounds!

Nearly every game is running an event for the Lunar New Year holiday, and DNF Mobile is no exception. With new content for next week’s update also teased, players have a little extra reason to be excited. Here’s a quick look at what’s on the way.

Lucky Seolbim Draw

The first DNF Mobile Lunar New Year event is the Lunar New Year Lucky Seolbim Draw.

Until 6:00 on February 26, you can claim 1 Lunar New Year Holiday Gift Ticket each day.

You can use that ticket to roll the draw for a chance at a 2026 Seolbim Box.

There are seven items in the pool, and once you get one, it’s removed from the draw. In other words, logging in for 7 days guarantees you’ll get it.

I got lucky and picked it up on day 2.

Opening the Seolbim Box lets you choose one of the 35 avatar sets released so far.

Since there’s no time limit, you can take your time deciding.

Dungi Nuseol Attendance Check

The second event is the Lunar New Year Dungi Nuseol Attendance Check.

Until 6:00 on February 26, logging in for just 3 days will get you three different scrolls.

As soon as you receive a scroll, you’ll get one of three fortunes: Low Luck, Medium Luck, or High Luck.

A buff is applied based on that fortune, and the gift contents stay the same regardless of which one you roll.

I got Low Luck on the first day and Medium Luck on the second, so now I’m just hoping for High Luck on the last day.

Also included in the rewards is the Elixir of Harmony, which doubles invasion chance (Exceed acquisition) for 30 minutes.

If possible, it seems most efficient to burn through your fatigue around 5:40 to 5:50 a.m., then spend fatigue again right after 6:00.

Looks like I’ll need to get up a little earlier tomorrow.

Proving Grounds Preview

In the Developer Note released on February 12, the new dungeon Proving Grounds was revealed ahead of its February 26 addition.

For existing players, new content is arguably the biggest gift of all, so it’s nice to see this preview arrive just before the Lunar New Year holiday.

Proving Grounds will feature Magos, previously the boss of the Disaster Dungeon.

The entry requirement is 120,000 Adventurer Fame, there are 15 difficulty levels, and you can send 3 characters each week to claim rewards.

Even newer players should be able to jump in right away thanks to the Highway benefits.

The required Adventurer Fame does not increase as the difficulty rises.

That said, Magos gets stronger, with added status ailments and environmental effects, while your character also takes on additional debuffs, making each fight more demanding.

Proving Grounds Stage 6. The ranking system is only counted after clearing Stage 10 or higher.

Before entering, you can check which effects are applied to Magos and your character, and you can change the options up to 3 times.

So while it does add a fair amount of luck-based variance, almost like a roguelike, it also looks like a solid way to test your real skill since this is solo content rather than party content.

Reward-wise, you can earn region-specific Equipment Pots, and at higher stages, Enhancement Material Selection Pouches are added on top.

In particular, Equipment Pots have a certain chance to drop as Adventure Group-bound, which should make them especially handy for alt characters.

Closing Thoughts

You can also claim this gift if you log in by 6:00 on February 19.

Beyond that, DNF Mobile has also confirmed that it is preparing a solo challenge mode with difficulty similar to the Disaster Dungeon. It looks like we’ll learn more at the 4th anniversary event coming in March. That event is starting to sound even more promising.
