Nearly every game will be running events over the Lunar New Year holiday, and DNF Mobile is no exception. A preview of new content arriving in next week's update has given players a little extra reason to be excited. Let's take a look at what's in store.

Lucky Lunar New Year Outfit Draw

The first DNF Mobile Lunar New Year event is the Lucky Lunar New Year Outfit Draw.

You can claim 1 Lunar New Year Gift Ticket each day until February 26 at 6 AM.

​

Use this ticket to enter the draw for a chance to get a 2026 Lunar New Year Outfit Box.

There are 7 items in the pool, and you won't draw the same item twice, so logging in for 7 days guarantees you'll get the box.

I was lucky enough to get it on day 2.

Opening the Lunar New Year Outfit Box lets you choose one of the 35 avatars released so far.

There's no expiration date, so you can take your time deciding.

Dungeon Fortune Reveal Check-In

The second event is the Lunar New Year Dungeon Fortune Reveal Check-In.

​

Log in for just 3 days before February 26 at 6 AM to receive three scrolls.

Each scroll reveals your fortune as soon as you receive it: minor, moderate, or great luck.

​

Your fortune determines which buff you receive, but the gifts are the same regardless of the result.

​

I got minor luck on the first day and moderate luck on the second, so I'm hoping for great luck on the final day.

The Elixir of Harmony included in the rewards also doubles the chance of an intrusion (for obtaining Exceed) for 30 minutes.

If possible, make the most of it by using up your Fatigue around 5:40–5:50 AM, then using it up again as soon as it resets at 6 AM.​​

It looks like I'll need to wake up a little early tomorrow.

Proving Grounds Preview

The Developer Notes posted on February 12 revealed Proving Grounds, a new dungeon arriving on February 26.

​

For existing players, new content is arguably the best gift of all, so it's nice to see this preview ahead of the Lunar New Year holiday.

​

Proving Grounds features 마고스, a boss from the existing Disaster Dungeon.

​

The entry requirement is 120,000 Exorcism. There are 15 difficulty levels, and you can earn rewards with 3 characters each week.

​

Even new players can meet the entry requirement right away with the Highway benefits.

The Exorcism requirement does not increase at higher difficulty levels.

​

However, 마고스's stats may increase, or status ailments and environmental effects may be added, while your character receives additional debuffs, making the fight more challenging.

Proving Grounds level 6. Only clears of level 10 or higher count toward the rankings.

Before entering, you can check which effects will apply to 마고스 and your character, and change the modifiers up to 3 times.

This adds a considerable element of luck, much like a roguelike, but since it's solo content rather than a party activity, it also looks like a good way to put your own skills to the test.

​

Rewards include region-specific Equipment Pots, with Reinforcement Material Selection Pouches added at higher levels.

​

Notably, Equipment Pots have a chance to be Adventure Team-bound, so you may be able to pass them along to your alternate characters.

DNF Mobile also announced that solo challenge content with a difficulty similar to the Disaster Dungeon is in development. It looks like we'll get to see it at the 4th anniversary event this coming March, giving me even more reason to look forward to the event.
