Tomorrow is Lunar New Year!

Holidays are special occasions in games too, with many games holding events to celebrate.

Today, I'll walk you through MapleStory's Lunar New Year event quest, Tell Me Your New Year's Wish.

When you log in, you'll see a star icon on the left.

Click it to see all the events currently running in MapleStory.

From there, click Join Tell Me Your New Year's Wish.

For this event, NPCs in MapleStory have left notes with their New Year's wishes in the Henesys mailbox.

Your task is to read them and help make three wishes come true.

First Wish Note

The first wish note is from someone who often gets sick and wants to learn about medicine

so they can stay healthy without help from adventurers.

A place full of books—does anywhere come to mind?

That's right, the Grand Athenaeum!

Open Quick Move below the minimap,

then click the Dimensional Mirror

to travel to the Grand Athenaeum.

Click the Archives in the Grand Athenaeum

to obtain the Herbal Medicine Recipe Book.

Now let's visit Maya, who wrote the first note.

Use Maple Guide to travel to Henesys.

Enter Maya's House to find Maya inside.

Now we'll get to see Maya making her own medicine to stay healthy ㅎㅎ

Second Wish Note

The second wish note is from an Ellinia resident who wants to grow as tall as the surrounding trees

so that no one will talk to them.

The mention of growing as tall as the surrounding trees suggests the writer is a tree too.

Use Maple Guide to travel to Ellinia.

Before visiting the note's writer, stop by the Ellinia General Store

and buy 1 Sprout Potion.

You'll find the Talking Tree, who wrote the second note, at Shining Forest Path in Ellinia.

Drink the Sprout Potion in front of the Talking Tree

to complete the second wish.

It turns out that sprinkling Sprout Potion on trees makes them grow rapidly.

Third Wish Note

The third wish note is from someone who's bored and wants to do something exciting,

but isn't sure what to do and needs some help.

A place where you can play music...

Use Maple Guide to travel to Elluel.

Click the music box in Elluel,

and you'll see a selection of songs. Choose Star Bubble to play it.

According to Pink Bean, being a fan is the best cure for boredom.

Now that we've fulfilled the final wish, let's collect the rewards.

Return to the event menu and click Tell Me Your New Year's Wish.

Chief Stan will reward you with a New Year's Wish Chair and 2 VIP Sauna Passes.

The painting of the sun, moon, and five peaks on the folding screen behind the seat really stands out.

Hidden Mission

Go to Pia in Henesys,

sit on the New Year's Wish Chair, and speak to her.

You'll receive the Red Horse Mask Cash hat,

a very fitting reward for the Year of the Red Horse.

It looks like something players who enjoy outlandish outfits would love ㅎㅎ;
