Tomorrow is the Lunar New Year holiday.

Holidays are special occasions in games as well, so many titles prepare seasonal events for them.

Today, I will go over MapleStory’s Lunar New Year event quest, Tell Me Your New Year’s Wish, step by step.

When you log in, there is a star-shaped icon on the left side of the screen,

and if you click it, you can check all of MapleStory’s currently ongoing events.

From there, click Participate in Tell Me Your New Year’s Wish.

For this event, MapleStory’s NPCs have placed notes with their wishes into the mailbox in Henesys for the New Year,

and your role is to read them and help make three of those wishes come true.

First wish note

The first note says that someone who often gets sick wants to study medicine

so they can stay healthy without relying on adventurers for help.

When it comes to a place that stores books, there is probably one location that comes to mind right away.

That would be the Dimensional Library.

Using fast travel below the minimap,

click the Dimensional Mirror,

and you can travel to the Dimensional Library.

Once you are there, click the Archive inside the Dimensional Library,

and you can obtain the Medicine Recipe Book.

Now let us head to Maya, the owner of the first note.

Use the Maple Guide to move to Henesys.

Enter Maya’s house, and you will find Maya inside.

At this point, you can see Maya making her own medicine to take care of her healthㅎㅎ

Second wish note

The second note says that one of the residents of Ellinia wants to grow as tall as the trees nearby

so that no one will come over and talk to them.

Since the note compares them to the surrounding trees, it seems the sender is a tree as well.

Use the Maple Guide to move to Ellinia.

Before heading to the owner of the note, stop by the Ellinia general store

and buy 1 Sprout Potion.

In Ellinia’s Path of Shining Forest, you will find Talking Tree, the owner of the second note.

Drink the Sprout Potion in front of Talking Tree,

and the second wish note will be completed as well.

It turns out that when Sprout Potion is poured on trees, they grow quickly.

Third wish note

The third note says that someone is bored and wants to do something exciting,

but since they do not know what that should be, they are asking for help.

A place where music can be played...

Use the Maple Guide to move to Ereve.

Click the music box in Ereve,

and from the available songs, simply play Star Bubble.

According to Pink Bean, when you are bored, being a fan is the best answer.

I agree as well ㅎㅎ

Now that all three wish notes are complete, let us go collect the reward.

Go back to the event menu and click Tell Me Your New Year’s Wish again,

and Chief Stan will give you New Year’s Wish Chair and 2 VIP Sauna Passes as your reward.

The Irworobongdo behind the folding screen stands out quite a bit.

Hidden mission

Go to Pia in Henesys,

sit on the New Year’s Wish Chair, and then talk to her,

and you can receive the Cash hat Red Horse Mask,

a reward that matches the Year of the Red Horse very well.

It looks like something players who enjoy unusual outfit combinations would likeㅎㅎ;
