Anyway, I hope you all have a great holiday too! Now then, let’s get into the main topic and go over Shammos’s Request, a quest from a suspicious goblin in El Nath.

Shammos

A suspicious-looking goblin asks you to hear him out.

Well, he definitely looks suspicious, but anyway, Shammos asks for your help. He says he’s preparing for something, and there’s one item he absolutely needs to move forward.

Shammos says he can’t tell you what he’s preparing for. Still, he does say he needs something called the Dark Contract in order to carry out the ritual successfully.

He says he spent a long time investigating, but the only thing he found out was that someone in Perion knows about the Dark Contract.

So, he asks you to go to Perion and bring back the Dark Contract from that person.

Anyway, I left El Nath and Orbis behind and took the elevator to Ellinia. Quests with a lot of travel are always such a hassle.

Manji

When you think of mysterious characters in Perion, Manji is the one that comes to mind, right? Go ahead and talk to him.

Manji asks how on earth you even found out about the Dark Contract. To keep the conversation going, you need to click the second dialogue option. The player says they happened to hear about it while traveling, and thought it might be useful someday when dealing with enemies, so they wanted to learn more.

Manji says he doesn’t know how the player learned about it, but the Dark Contract holds terrifying power. He explains that the very source behind Coolie Zombies and Minor Zombies, monsters that died and then started moving again, is the Dark Contract.

How to Get the Dark Contract

As expected, the zombies are in the Forest of Dead Trees in El Nath. Just keep hunting them until the Dark Contract drops.

This is what the Dark Contract looks like. Once you’ve hunted the zombies and picked it up, just head back to Shammos. Since he’s in El Nath, the return trip was nice and quick this time.

Rewards

If you go back to Shammos, you’ll get 1 Mysterious Reward and lose 2 Fame. You do lose Fame, but it feels like the reward should make up for it.

The scroll reward is random, and you can get 1 of 6 options total: Shoe Evasion, Jump, or Speed, each in either 10% or 60%.

The best one is the 10% Jump scroll. The reason is simple: it sells for the most. The others are said to be worth around 200,000 to 800,000 mesos.

Wrapping Up

Today, we went over Shammos’s Request and the Dark Contract. It’s a quest that gives scrolls, but at the same time, you need a bit of luck with the reward. If you pull the 10% Jump scroll, you can make a lot of mesos.
