The 2000s were a time when the internet spread quickly and PC gaming really took off as a major hobby.
Back then, Nexon was running beloved titles like The Kingdom of the Winds, DNF, Crazy Arcade, KartRider, MapleStory and more,

and they were loved by so many players.

I remember playing all of the games above, too.

When I was in elementary school, I actually had my MapleStory account hacked once.
When I logged in, my character had all their equipment removed, and my inventory was completely empty.
It was such a huge shock at that age that I still remember it so clearly..!

So today, I wanted to go over

how to set up account security if you enjoy Nexon games.

Nexon has an app called 'NEXON PLAY'.

It’s an app that lets you check game news, manage account security,

earn Play Points, use the shop, and even charge Nexon Cash!

You can download it on both Android and iOS.

In NEXON PLAY, you can check your Play Points, Nexon Cash, and stored items.
You can also see your game activity history all in one place, which makes everything much easier to manage.
If you enjoy Nexon games, it’s definitely an app worth having installed.

Using NEXON PLAY also makes the login process more secure.
For example, on PCs you’ve designated, you can log in without any extra verification.

But if you log in from a PC bang or another device,

you’ll need to get a verification code from NEXON PLAY and enter it before you can log in!

And beyond that, there’s one-time login, biometric authentication, and even remote logout! ✌

Especially in MapleStory, OTP verification is required when making important decisions,

such as unlocking an item lock, using Scissors, or deleting a character.

When you enter a verification code, you can also check through a notification which game the login attempt is coming from,

and what kind of action currently needs verification.

Even when a friend briefly uses my account, I can tell right away, which feels really reassuring!

Also, if you join NEXON PLAY-exclusive events, you can collect Play Points.
The points you earn can be used like cash, which adds a little extra fun, too.
