Nexon games that support a variety of ways to connect #크로스 플랫폼

Hello.

The keyword for this post is cross-platform, and I will be looking at features in Nexon games that can be played or used across multiple platforms.

Since making games accessible across a wider range of platforms naturally helps bring in more users, these kinds of features are being offered both broadly and in more specific ways, so I have gathered together some of the functions currently being provided as part of that effort.

MapleStory : Maple Hands

Maple Hands is an app that was first released all the way back in 2013, and its core function is letting players check information on their MapleStory characters through mobile.

After launching in 2013, Maple Hands was upgraded to Maple Hands+ in 2016 and has continued to see steady use ever since. It is used in a wide range of ways as a MapleStory authentication app, including showcase entry verification and Maple Auction sale notifications, so it can realistically be considered close to essential.

Among those functions, the feature most directly tied to actual gameplay is Maple Auction search and purchasing, which was added comparatively recently in 2025.

It was a feature many users had wanted and one that saw heavy use after the update, so when there was a recent extended maintenance related to it, the response was explosive.

This issue likely was not unrelated to the large number of users on mobile Maple Auction, and in the latest update Maple Auction searches through Maple Hands were changed to a limit of 100 times per day per Maple ID.

MapleStory M : Official PC Client Provided

MapleStory M was released as a mobile game, but an official PC client is also distributed through the official website.

Without an official PC client like this, players would have to rely on third-party emulator-type app players, and since those often come with inconveniences such as lag, this is a fairly major advantage.

In my case, staring at a phone screen for too long gets tiring quickly, so I try to play on PC whenever I can, and because of this it has been convenient both when I was heavily focused on leveling in the past and even now when I am just clearing daily quests and similar content. Another benefit is that there is essentially no lag when launching, playing, or closing the game, and it can also be played alongside other games.

I have seen that Illium was added this time as a new class, so if that catches your interest, it may be worth checking out.

MapleStory Worlds : Mobile Support

MapleStory Worlds officially supports both PC and mobile.

Looking at MapleLand, one of the best-known games in MapleStory Worlds, it seems there are quite a lot of players using mobile, and judging by that, this support likely also played a meaningful role in its success.

MapleStory : Mac Support : https://maplestory.nexon.com/News/Notice/145659

MapleStory has been supported through a Mac version beta service since November 28, 2024.

There are the usual limitations that come with a beta service, such as access being available only through the website and the notice that support may end without separate announcement depending on circumstances, but as of the date of this post it is still available.

Along with continued error fixes, the fact that this very update appears to have improved support to allow voice chat suggests that it will likely continue to be maintained without major issues going forward.

MapleStory : Nexon Link : https://nexonlink.nexon.com/kr

Lastly, Nexon Link is a feature that lets users “remotely play a game running on PC from mobile,” and it is currently available for HIT2, HIT:The World, 바람의나라:연, MapleStory, and Elsword.

Remote play requires Nexon Plug and the Nexon ON app to be installed, and as a prerequisite, both the relevant game and Nexon Plug must already be running.

FileDownloader

For MapleStory, beta testing began on July 17, 2025, and after connecting you can use those buttons to control character movement, key settings, the keyboard, and settings.

In addition, playing MapleStory through Nexon Link comes with the following restrictions.

  • Hunting is only possible up to 10,000 monsters per day per Maple ID : if that limit is exceeded, monsters will not appear

  • Not available in Premium PC Rooms

  • Cannot enter Gathering Farm

  • Cannot be played simultaneously with other games that support remote play

  • Peripherals such as mouse and keyboard are not supported

I have heard that some players who actively use this even take part in boss content, so while it is clearly a useful feature, their control and concentration are impressive as well.

■ An issue where controls would sometimes stop responding during remote play using Nexon Link in unstable mobile network environments has been fixed.

This was included in the bug-fix notes for a recent release, and it seems likely that the feature will continue to improve going forward in both function and stability.

Thank you for reading.
