Intense competitive games are exciting and fun, of course,

but just like meditating to stay focused on the present and practice mindfulness,

sometimes you want to step away from competition and simply enjoy some pure healing in a game.

Whenever I’m in that mood, I like to play

the various mini-games available in Mabinogi Mobile.

Today, I’d like to share

some of the mini-games I recently enjoyed with my guildmates!

Throw the snowballs!

Snowball Festival Frenzy

Snowball Festival Frenzy was a

limited-time mini-game event held last January.

Your skills change to snow throwing and kicking,

and hitting another player with snow gives you 1 point.

If you freeze them and shatter them with a kick, you earn 5 points,

and the player with the highest score wins the match.

In a way, competition is still competition,

but since there weren’t really any rewards at stake,

it was easy to just enjoy the snowball fight for what it was.

Weapons that granted extra skills would drop during the match,

and there were also various passive enhancement elements,

so even though the gameplay was simple, I ended up enjoying it for quite a long time.

Since Mabinogi Mobile doesn’t have PVP,

this kind of light, playful competition in mini-games

actually felt even more fun than full-on competitive games.

Find the mafia!

Werewolf Under the Moonlight

The first board game added last August,

Werewolf Under the Moonlight, is also a lot of fun.

I actually only tried it for the first time this year.

Like in a mafia game, players are divided into humans and werewolves,

assigned different roles on each side,

and then try to identify the werewolf through deduction and voting.

I’m still a beginner when it comes to mafia-style games and not very good at mind games,

so I got suspected as the culprit and ended up being struck by lightning even though I was human.

If you correctly catch the werewolf,

you get to deliver justice like this.

It was my very first round, but it was so much fun

that I went straight into the next game.

Mabinogi Mobile regularly adds

mini-games like these that you can enjoy with other users.

They’re more polished than you might expect, so they end up being a lot of fun every time.

I’m already looking forward to seeing what mini-game gets added next.
