I'm back with another Mapleland quest guide. Two years ago, I published a post titled Fairy Kriel's Second Quest Review. At the time, some of the necessary content had not yet been implemented, so the quest couldn't be completed. Now, two years later, we can finally see it through. Today, let's walk through Scenery of the Sea. You'll need to complete Kriel's Offer before you can begin this quest.

Aqua Road Photo Album

After two years, I finally returned to Muse. She explains that the Aqua Road Photo Album was a limited edition and has sold out.

She does, however, have one copy that she wanted to keep for herself, and she offers to sell it to me.

Of course, nothing comes free in Mapleland. She wants to see snowflakes, so she asks you to visit Alcaster and bring her a Snow Crystal Ball.

Next, I headed to Alcaster, receiving 2,000 EXP along the way. Fortunately, El Nath and Aquarium aren't too far apart.

Snow Crystal 1

I explained that I needed a Snow Crystal Ball. Alcaster says he can make one, but he'll need a large quantity of Snow Crystals.

To be precise, he needs 100 Snow Crystals to make it. He explains that you can collect them by defeating the Leattys living in Orbis Tower. With that, let's head straight to the hunting ground for some Leattys.

Most Leattys can be found at Snowy Hill, which is quite close to El Nath. Jr. Pepes also appear here and can make hunting a little awkward, but plenty of Leattys spawn, so keep defeating them until you've collected 100 Snow Crystals. These level 32 monsters were easy for me to hunt, but players with levels in the 30~40s can earn good EXP here by using the EXP coupons they received from events.

After collecting all the Snow Crystals, I returned to Alcaster, who agreed to make the crystal ball. I also received 6,000 EXP.

Talk to him again to receive the Snow Crystal Ball. Then it's time to return to Muse.

Muse shares her thoughts on the snow—it seems this is her first time seeing it. Once you receive the Aqua Road Photo Album, head to Kriel in Orbis.

Final Rewards

Back with Fairy Kriel after two years (?), I received an item and a little EXP. Those boxes with question marks always have something good inside.

I received a scroll, though mine turned out to be a Scroll for Shoes for Jump 60%. It was a little disappointing, but it still sells for a reasonable price, so it's a decent way to earn some mesos.

Closing Thoughts

That covers Scenery of the Sea, a quest in Mapleland's Aquarium. It's fairly straightforward, with a little travel and a short stretch of hunting monsters and collecting quest items. With a scroll as the reward, it's worth completing when you visit Aquarium.
