Airrel!

The adorable wind spirit

Airrel is a wind spirit.

She became fascinated with human music and practiced like crazy, but

she never really got any attention from the other spirits, so she spent her days feeling pretty lonely.

So her hobby, naturally, is easing that loneliness by

playing music for adventurers who wash up on the island and pulling pranks on them!

She’s kind of like a siren, except the vibe is way cuter.

Definitely a finger workout,

thanks to these nasty patterns!

Out of all the bosses that have appeared in 마비노기 모바일 so far,

Airrel is one of the most demanding when it comes to executing patterns.

If you get hit by a red pattern, your notes stack up,

and if you get hit by a green pattern, the note count drops, but

once you hit 3 notes, you break into a frenzied dance,

and at that point your life is in serious danger.

These days I know the patterns well enough to even write an Airrel guide, but

it’s still hard enough that I end up dancing every now and then!

Every fight is a full-on finger workout.

Rhythm game mechanics

The highlight of Airrel’s pattern set plays out like a rhythm game.

Each party member picks up an instrument,

and you have to survive by popping 3 notes.

If you clear it successfully, Airrel comes back to her senses

and quietly goes back to playing her music.

Unlike other bosses where you just finish them off for good,

she’s gentle by nature, so things end on a nice, peaceful note.

A very hard Airrel version is also planned for a future release.

From her cute look to her whole concept, she has a charm that feels totally different from a succubus,

so she’s personally the boss I’m looking forward to the most!
