When you play MapleStory,

sometimes you come across an item and instantly think, “This would be so funny to give to a friend!”

So today, I went with a fun, light topic,

and put together 5 clever in-game gift items that are sure to get a laugh and make you want to hand them to a friend.

1. Orange Mushroom Mount

What kind of mount do you all like in MapleStory?
My personal favorite is the Orange Mushroom Mount.

It has the exact same look and size as the Orange Mushroom monster, except your character is tucked right into the spot where the face should be.
It’s silly and cute at the same time!

I got this mount 6 years ago on my old main character.
It’s adorable, but I’m also really attached to it, so it made me think it’d be such a fun gift for a friend too!

2. Shrimp Piece

Shrimp Piece is a monster drop you can get by hunting Shrimp Slimes at Gold Beach!
It looks like a totally ordinary item at first, but I actually have a memorable little story about it.

I actually hate shrimp.
A friend knew that, so as a joke, they once went and got Shrimp Pieces in-game and kept giving them to me!

So this isn’t really a gift I want to give so much as one I wanted to include because I have a lot of memories of getting it 🤣

3. Zombie’s Lost Molar

When I was thinking about what kind of trophy item could be as funny as Shrimp Piece, this one popped into my head.
If you casually drop it in front of a friend and go, “Hey OO, you dropped your molar!” I feel like the reaction would be pretty great.
Another one in a similar category that came to mind is Pig’s Head.

4. Trait Growth Potion

In Maple, this is the kind of Trait Growth Potion you’d jokingly want to give a friend
because you want them to live just a tiny bit more properly.

For example, if you gave it to a friend with very strong T-type tendencies,

you could tell them to try raising their Sensibility stat a little, right?

Sadly, though, Trait Growth Potion is an untradeable item!

5. Boss Face Coupon (Dunkel Face)

That gaze is full of absolute seriousness!
If someone were standing next to you with this face, I feel like you’d somehow feel reassured and irritated at the same time.

If you and your friend joke around a lot, this is the kind of face coupon that might cross your mind as a birthday gift at least once.

Dunkel is one thing, but Arkarium is no joke either..!
