A look inside my MapleStory-rotted brain
마포감튀
Hey.
Mapo Fries here.
Today, I’m going to break down what my brain looks like when I play Maple.
How my Maple routine is wired
Because I play MapleStory every single week without fail, my head is basically always packed with the stuff I need to get done.
My content-running brain layout
Alright, let’s go through them one by one.
Weekly bosses - I’m not really the type to do a ton of grinding, so weekly bossing makes up the biggest chunk of my weekly income.
Which means, yep, this week too I need to go take down 12 weekly bosses.
Daily bosses - Daily bosses don’t give amazing rewards. Still, items like Dominator Pendants and Black Bean Marks are annoyingly hard to get when you actually need them, so if I stock them ahead of time, then even if one explodes during Star Force later, I can just swap in a spare right away. So yeah, I make sure to keep up with these too.
Monster Park - If you want steady EXP coming in, you have to go every day. Especially on Sunny Sunday Maple, I run the whole thing while even spending Maple Points. With MVP Red, you can Quick Pass up to 7 times a day with one nice little “딸깍,” and if you’re chasing peak efficiency, you should dump all 7 on one character and still not forget to use the 2 free entries too!
Arcane River dailies, Grandis dailies - If your symbols aren’t maxed yet, these are not optional. They’re mandatory!! Make sure you do them every single day without missing any.
Mu Lung Dojo, Flag - For both me and my guildmates, I do Dojo and Flag every day with at least 45 points as the goal.
Don’t forget them!
Honestly... I need to go do mine today too.
Epic Dungeon - It’s a once-a-week chance to grab a huge chunk of EXP! EXP Lv2 is just too expensive, so... I always stop at Lv1. Even Lv1 is efficient enough, so I make sure to buy it every time.
The cold-hearted part of my brain
But of course, there’s this side of it too.
EXP efficiency - Before I head out to grind, I make sure to check in advance whether I brought all my buffs.
Maple Point price - What’s the Maple Point price today? Should I buy meso right now, or sell? I’m always watching Maple Point prices with that little investor mindset.
Market prices - How much is gear going for these days? If prices are low, it might be the right time to spec-up, so I keep checking the market on a regular basis too.
Doping cost - Especially when I’m doing weekly bosses, I always end up debating whether I should pop Collector’s Elixir... and whether I really need both Bung-ppu and Woo-ppu. But if I can earn all that buff cost back anyway, then honestly it’s better to just use them and clear my weekly bosses even 1 minute faster, because time-wise that’s a win!!
Spec-up - Getting stronger is a long, rough road, but I always play while picturing a stronger version of myself. I used to struggle even with Verus Hilla, so if I now beat my first Adversary, that growth hits even harder!
